All aboard the George express. ….gosh when the warlord enters the centre square there’s going to be opposition teams literally $&&$@$ themselves in years to come. Who was the sook he replaced…..the scenery looks soooo much better now. Bring on next week now…l hate waiting.

I was half arsed about going yest sitting in a sea of red & black at 4.40pm on a Sunday, but the thought of seeing warlord, sheez, TT and WP made it an easy decision. They’re going to put bums on seats.

There’s every chance George ends up better than JHF head to head anyway. On and off field.

Was thinking about this today and take the ill-feeling out of it and it's potentially a win-win.

Let's say Jason had come to us mid 2022 and opened up wanting to head home, mental issues, no hard feelings. Sure it might even generated less internet traffic. But the outcome under these "friendly" trading conditions probably would've ended up much the same - get an equivalent, preferably local kid.

Which we did. Now we all move on.

For all their faults, all of those guys particularly Lyon talk about the excitement and the games without resorting to cheap and nasty put downs or click bait.
Very true. Every time I have the misfortune to hear Korn speak he takes about 0.34 seconds to refer to the response from his own tweets.
They may be buffoons, but they actually want to talk about the footy, not just themselves.

in hindsight JHF did us a massive favour. if he'd waited until his contract was up, we would've gotten a year of disengaged, shitty performance from him and one of Wardlaw and Sheezel would be playing somewhere else. Then we'd trade him at a lower value because he's out of contract, and get someone who's going to take longer to be ready than Wardlaw and Sheezel, who are both game-ready now and will only grow in ability as Jy, LDU, Zurhaar, Larkey etc. are in their prime.

It was so strange, there was so much hate directed at Jase from the get go, his first couple of games were just as good.
Disagree.
JHF had a lot of attention because he was the number 1 pick, but no way was his performance and output as eye catching as Warlord's first 3 games. He's had the second most clearances by a debutant after 3 games, and being compared with Joel Selwood.

It shouldn't work that way though. The nom should be based on the performance in a stand alone game, not cumulative performance over several games.
Even considering the game alone, there's not a lot of reason to be pissed off. 16 touches, 7 marks with 2 contested, a goal and a goal assist is a nice statline. There's a bit of angst on here about Rising Star noms which just doesn't need to be aired imo. As Clarko would say, George's time will come

You could have stopped with the first sentence 😜

We’ll pick up another gun with Ports first this year.

Its Port that really needs to move on ;)
