This accompanied the original version of Thursdays Guernsey when posted on big footy
This does have real potential IMO to be worked into our new logo.
Probably a non shield version like the updated original became, although this shield does look modern and classic in some ways
I said earlier maybe the grow without the trailing lines, mainly as I thought that was the most dated part. But maybe those lines like this and not block colours would work. Although the crow without trailing lines and without shield I’d still like to see

I’m more saying though this style for the non shield crow. The one that replaced this pre raptor. Take this style of crow out of the shield as an update on that one…

With the red/yellow lines it’s got more colour than the current logo (and take it off the navy shield and that perception changes I think)

It's a beauty. Then again I threw up violently Sunday at 1am and the toilet bowl still looked better than the current logo.

Some info from inside the club. Unsure if this has been discussed in this thread already, but it was news to me so thought I'd share in case it brings any new insights.
- The club is aware that there are a large number of supporters who aren't fans of the current logo. A new logo is on the radar, but there are higher off-field priorities for focus at the moment.
- New logo will come around the same time as new facility, which is the highest off-field priority. The intention is new facility, new logo, club on the up and a fresh start.
- The club understand the preference for the original logo, have been blown away by the response to the Gather Round guernsey, which has again reinforced their understanding of how the fan base feels.
- The above being said, there have been some high level beginnings of a new logo. I have not seen any proofs or mark ups, but it is likely to "combine elements of the original and the current logo".

Sounds good but the current logo should be binned, should not use any elements of it.

FWIW…
As a designer, this is a massive red flag. The hybrid approach very rarely works and is usually employed by committees who can’t decide on a firm direction.
As long as they don't decorate the place with elements of the old logo then immediately change the logo, like Trigg did last time.

I'm not a fan of the Gather Round shield, but almost anything beats the current logo.
How about a simple shield with the tricolours and the letters 'AFC'? I'm a big fan of the heritage shield/crest, but most people don't have such old-fashioned tastes.

No that sounds like balls.
Also as much I love the old logo I dont think it works in this day and age.
Just come up with a cool modern menacing crow, cant be hard surely.
Worked beautifully on Thursday night.

Why the hell would we want to incorporate any element of the current logo? I didn’t realise Jenny had that much pull down there
