Last weeks results have set this up as a much more interesting, and potentially close, fixture for us.

It's cold out, I hope the roof is closed!

Bruce, Membrey, Gresham and Billings. That’s not a bad forward-line the Saints have. Throw Matthew Parker into that mix now. He wasn’t too bad on debut last week.
Yeah it's looking like our strong suit, although Billings is playing much more on the wing and even in the guts this year, and Gresh a lot in the guts.

Having added Parker and also Kent, as well as having Lonie, has freed us up to be more flexible with those two.

There’s a number of players for the Saints who will have a breakout season. As an outsider looking in it feels as though the Saints are one quality outside midfielder away from having a decent best 22. Apart from that St Kilda has most areas on the field covered.

Yeah we would if we had Carlisle, Roberton, Hannebery and even McCartin and Longer up and running.

First Collingwood, then Adelaide... now it's Essendon's turn.

A lot of good teams played bad last week. This is their week to atone. Saints barely got over the Gold Coast. They have 0 chance against Essendon. Bombers by 60.

Collingwood and Adelaide were no where near as bad as Essendon were though

Throw in the most disappointing performance of all with the eagles too. Should bounce back with the favourable home ground advantages.

Tipping Essendon to win in a pretty close one, the players will celebrate like they've just won the flag. The media will start the jerking all over again.

25 minutes of saying essendon was shit last week for pregame. We know, heard it from the last 6 days, enough of the wank fest

Funny how everyone is focusing on Essendon being bad and how they'll improve, yet slag us for being bad last week and clearly won't improve this week? BF logic hey.

Commentators are talking like this is a huge test for essendon? They were tipped to be top 4 by most this year weren't they? 1 loss and everyone's saying saints will be a big test for them? Strange. Or crashing back to reality for the hype around essendon and their realistic expectations. 8 to 12th team, like St Kilda is realistic.

Watch the umpires rail the saints here ... AFL will be itching for the Bombers to get a win here
