Bulldogs to stay with them all the way until the fourth, Cats by 12. Think they just have a bit too much class. Bulldogs will be top 8 however and may go deep if they can bring their best footy.

We have to beat one of Geelong and West Coast and not drop Hawks and Freo (freo aren’t bad defensively either.)

I think Demons are a better chance. Better draw.

50/50 call

It'll largely depend on which Richmond turns up and what side of the bed the umpires wake up on the day/night!
Only recent Tigers stuff up was the Port one. I reckon they’re looking hot at the right time. Geelong play a pretty controlled tempo game, I think Richmond can overwhelm them with their relentless pressure.

But who knows. All I know is Melbourne are still disappointing their fans, all the way from 1965. ;)

Yeah it’s a tough one. You won’t drop Hawks or Freo surely. I’d be very surprised if you didn’t win both. Cats and Eagles are hard, clearly. Is it Eagles next week? They’ll be looking to respond after last night. I don’t know, but I think your best footy is good enough to make the 8.

We probably have to beat the Saints. Swans, Dockers, Giants and Bombers to finish. There’s no knowing what Melbourne turns up. Bit like Essendon.

We have a bye before we play the Eagles. They play the Bombers before us, I send our condolences to them.

On current ladder positions, dogs have lost to every team above them that they’ve played and beaten the teams below them. Only exception is Carlton who are currently lower than the dogs but won comfortably in that match up.

That stat, plus general recent form, would indicate a comfortable cats win. My guess is it might be close for a while but cats pull away in second half.

Looking forward to seeing how an undersized dogs backline copes with Hawkins 😩

We should win by around 3-4 goals imo...but you can never count out the Dogs. They'll be desperately hungry to create some separation on the ladder tonight from themselves and teams 9-12.

Doggies can become favourites for the top 8 spot if they win this. Would be a upset but it's possible. Cat's win this then Cats v Tigers could be a grand final preview imho. Tigers were exceptional last night and we barely beat the Cats at Optus. Banana skin game this one for the Cats too. Lose this and they give us a lucky break.

Bit of a lose-lose thing, we haven't beaten any sides above us because we've kept 3 sides below us by beating them. We have been pretty poor against the really in form sides though.

Last night was the GF preview. You don't get to throw yourself out of the ring just yet...

Do Cats really deserve to be $1.45 favorites?? Dogs $2.70!

I feel like it should be more ~ $1.70 / $2.30 split.

I would have thought Dogs are a real sniff here.
