Hawks and Bombers trying to out-mozz each other.

Have some confidence in your sides, you cowards.

If you can’t be confident in Round 1 you should pack it in, or follow North.

I think we'll win, you guys are hopeless. I've never been more confident.

Really wish I could be more optimistic, but there’s some heavy weight on the other end of the scale such as (I) 20 years of being, well, disappointing, and (II) in particular a recent penchant for shocking season starts 🤔 . But If we can buck both of those trends, we’re a chance 🤗

I’m confident that all three teams you’ve mentioned will be absolutely rat shit.

Underrated timeslot tbh. Easily beats out Thursday night, Saturday twilight, Sunday 1:10pm and the god awful Sunday twilight.
Sunday 1:10 is the only good Sunday timeslot

Ridley Zerk Kelly
Redman Laverde McGrath ..a solid back 6 who work together well

It’s going to be interesting to see how our new recruits slot in and how we play under a revamped game plan / mindset under Scott

A forwardline of 2 mtr Peter, Jones , Weideman , Davey and Guelfi is a very different vibe compared to last year

Expect Draper to dominate the ruck and look twice as fitter as last year.

Will Setterfield in the middle is another new aspect to see working with Mids of Martin, Merrett, Parish, Durham, Sheil , Perkins and Caldwell should see us fast paced

And we all want to see Massimo D’Ambrosio get a game because he’s a little dynamo

We should beat Hawks

Wouldn’t wanna lose to the hawks …

Hawthorn aren't going to be that bad. And Essendon aren't going to be that much better regardless for that comment to hold any weight.

However, our worst loss of last season was against Essendon who lost a handful of best 22 players pre-bounce due to Covid.

Doesn't matter who they are missing.. It's a 50/50 game.

I could never be accused of being an * sympathiser but they really should be beating the hawks.
As most teams should/will this year …

Let the season play out.

From a list management and pre season form perspective I personally don't see why Hawthorn are rated so far behind sides like Essendon, North Melbourne and West Coast unless it's entirely based on age demographic.
Throw St.Kilda in there too with their current woes on the injury front. I feel those teams will comfortably occupy the bottom 5 positions on the ladder, but the actual positioning of them may vary greatly.

The path Mitchell has chosen is courageous but long and painful … as hawks supporters are going to discover …
