Duncan had enough time to turn his body… would he then not have had enough time to evade contact? As you said the Swans player was past the ball so Duncan should’ve tried to go around him to get to the ball

We’ll probably not as one requires actual lateral movement.

He doesn’t need to move he was lining on the ball the guy slides and goes past the ball so if anyone is in the wrong it is fox. If Duncan was injured and he went past the ball it would be similar to the Prestia and Stewart incident.

Bahahahahaha in the time it took for his opponent to run PAST the ball by 2-3 metres you’re suggesting he should have thought to evade him. Do you realise how little time that actually is?

Afl players are professional athletes. If he had time to lower his shoulder to his fox in the head he could have also elected to dodge fox

Like Tom Boyd…
It's time for the AFL to take Geelongs biased home ground advantage away.

The only Victorian team who has a true suburban ground advantage Which is massive compared to all the other Victorian clubs. The major reason the geelong flogs make finals year after year.

Absolute raught of the system.

Disgusting..

There is no way Duncan should be suspended. Where the **** was Fox going? Blud, the ball was 10 metres the other way lol. Players should be able to brace for contact and protect themselves from lunatic actions like Fox's there.

This unfortunately. What else is he meant to do.
Will get rubbed out though.

Different angles make it look kind of different, the camera angle of Duncan front on makes it look like he’s watching Fox and leans his shoulder down to make contact with his head. But the real time camera angle from behind Duncan just made it look like he braced and Robbie lost his feet and happened to go at him head first.

It’ll be a real pickle to adjudicate if you were trying to be a fair MRO while also trying to deter further instances. However the AFL MRO is just a frontman for whatever spin the AFL want each week and head knocks are the flavour of the month so with that said, 3 weeks.

Robbie Fox slips and misses the ball and Duncan turns to brace for contact. Watching it in real time not sure what else Duncan is supposed to do. Fox contributes a lot to the impact but judging by the MRO head contact means a week.

G
Surely it was worth a shot rolling Francis back to defense instead of having Mills fight for his life against Hawkins.
Guys first game back after mental health battle…” See that guy he is 10 cm bigger than you and it’s your first game also he’s the best player in the competition, this should help your confidence.”

Is this supposed to be a serious comment? Pulling his arm, already next to his torso, into his torso, is supposed to take the equivalent time of moving a 90kg frame sideways while running at speed towards the ball, because his opponent elected to go past the ball?

This is rare physics

He could have spun and weaved to dodge him

Afl players are extremely agile with really good reaction times
