That's the exact call that the AFL want.
Put that decision in the video package explaining how the rule is meant to work.
Why do you want players getting the ball, it's so much more appealing to watch tackles getting free kicks for goals goals goals?
[\sarcasm]
The AFL buckled to loud minority of dumb spectator and media opinions thinking they would appeal to them. Now it's backfiring on them hard and making them look unprofessional as ever.

The only thing that was ever wrong with the game last week was umpires making errors on already existing rules. Absolutely nothing to do with the rules or interpretations.

Haha no its not. Perfectly umpired tonight (mostly). If you take the play on and then caught its holding the ball. The way its alway been until recently.
That's not even the adjustment that was made. As you said it was always the rule, but umpires were making errors. The confusing thing is the unnecessary change to the no prior decisions. Turned it into a raffle whether it's htb or not.

Balta doing Balta things absolutely has pulled Hawkins pants down tonight but then let’s himself down with stupid kicks.

Whoever’s been on Cameron tonight has played well he’s been non existent for most of the night.

Holmes , Bowes and Bruhn have been super impressive from Geelong in the second half. To good and strong.
