Yet to beat the cats since the 2022 Grand Final humiliation. Hopefully it still stings the playing group and they'll be looking to make a statement.

Will never feel 100% confident going in against that superstar Cats forward line with our workmanlike but modest backline. Still think we can squeeze out enough dominance in the midfield to pull this off though.

Swans by 127 points

Swans are a very good team this year but our two biggest weaknesses are our clearances and small defence. If oppositions comfortably beat us in the clearances and get the ball into their forward line cleanly they stand a good chance of winning.

You rank 4th in the league for clearances.
We're 17th.

Give us a spell. Hardly a weakness.

Wait, Cats are 4th in clearances and Swans are 15th or am I reading this wrong?

Team/Opp differential is the metric.
Far more meaningful than aggregate as some clubs create more stoppages, but don't necessarily win more of them.

Should we win I hope we maintain it attitudinally.

At the Litter Box in 23, Geelong laughed in our blokes faces. Our performance was inept, Geelong’s was odious.

Good and legit audit for the cats coming up. No doubt our midfield looks out of their depth against the swans . Swans can really carve us up if cats pressure index is not high and if our backs zone off to weird places looking to be proactive at wrong times.
Cats need to lift to be competitive….
Don't think we need to call in the auditors to see where we're at tbh

Yeah, but they're making a statement against a midfield stocked almost exclusively with players who didn't play in that grand final.

So, um, congratulations?

Edit: to add to this, the only player we had attend a centre bounce last week that also attended a centre bounce in the 22 GF was Tom Atkins.
