No doubt they've been told to put the whistle away late in close games, but teams constantly just dive on the ball for ball ups if leading at the end of close games, because umpires never pay a free against them. Was a clear HTB free to Adelaide not paid and umpires decide their 2nd game in 3 weeks with both going to the Victorian team

Leave it to chance and the VFL umpires will invariably to their thing.

Great win, more than deserved. Led at every change and had eight more scoring shots on the road.

Kept Adelaide in it with poor kicking and if they didn’t spend so much of the last quarter shitting themselves under the footy, flopping around, ducking their heads and playing for frees then they might have snatched the win.

Not fussed about an umpiring decision or two, they go both ways and both teams had more than enough chances. The better team won.

It was holding the ball at the end there but it was also probably holding the ball on Tex when he dropped the shoulders at the previous contest so it's a moot point and I wouldn't say the Crows were robbed. Essendon were clearly the better team tonight.
