Reckon the West Coast players from the 2015GF have redemption to do.

Mason Cox won’t kick a goal.

Coasters by 23 points.

Afl 360 last nite put a different spin on it. They think it's a negative. They think west coast choked. Already got thier excuse to cover a pies win and distract from the unfair home ground advantage

Also very negative towards McGovern but hardly anything on Howe.

Nothing but positivity and hype about collingwood

Although lloyd say west coast forwards may tear collingwood apart. No plan b if one of them fires.

I want West Coast to win because a win for them is a win against the VFL. That said, I wouldn't mind a Collingwood win. I never minded Nathan Buckley and would be happy to see him raise the cup finally. They also have a pretty likeable team.

So WC for me, but won't be that fussed either way.

Happy for either to win, glad richmond got smashed. I dont barrack for interstaters in gf every year though. Remember after brisbane, syd, wc in 00's there was that afl enquiry type thing... then there was free kick hawthorn, free kick bulldogs etc etc

Any other year I'd want West Coast to win this, I'll be happy for them, but after last years disaster, I kind of want another non-Victorian team to join us in the misery.

Apparently beating them at home as the higher ranking team isn't enough, to claim the prize they now have to travel to Collingwood's home ground and beat them there as well.

Of course we all know the team that deserves to win, the better team, will win on the day (no mention of them being better because they stick to their routine and play at home and no mention of people saying travelling to Optus Stadium hurt Melbourne's chances).

West Coast went through that pain in 2015 as well

I'm interested to see what happens with two teams in the Grand final that respect the opposition enough to understand how they play. Rather than have one collapse under their own hubris.

We did that back in 2015 - this year it's about time a non Vic team took the cup away from Victoria!

The only thing that concerns me is if West Coast do win we wont see another interstate side win for another 5 years.

Im going to the Barossa this weekend so probably won't even see the game.

I want wc to win, but if I had to tip, I'd go the other way. West coast have had some annoying at-the-wrong-time of the year injuries like us. That's the bad news. The good news is I don't think they will try to play such a centimeter perfect gameplan as we tried to do but will have a combo of gameplan plus slug it out. I think they can do quite well at this as they are probably better all over the ground but Collingwood are better in the midfield and that's an important place to be better at.

If the 2 Prelim Finals are any guide then this game might be a high scoring affair. The 2 sides played a memorable game in the Semi-Final , the best game of ALL the Finals games. Hope the GF lives up to it
Too nice for my money.
Nothing against Buckley who seems like a decent bloke except that he played for and now coaches the Pies, but ---
I want to see a WC blowout win. 15+ goals. That Yank, Cox, goalless.
I want to see Collingwood supporters leaving before half time. A black-and-white Exodus of miserable, broken fans drained of hope.
I want to hear the Vic-loving Ch.7 commentators' disbelief.
I want to see McGuire's shocked/shattered disappointment, Joffa's tears and especially those of crushed Collingwood players.
Looking ahead, I want to see our Crows thrash them in the 2019 GF. Them, or Port. ;):D

West Coast with out question, my second team and constantly shove it up the Vics.

Adelaide and West Coast almost have this 'sister-club' vibe, having the little brothers down the road (freo and port), while being hated by the media due to being the biggest interstate threats with the largest following.

Hope for the coasters to get up in a thriller

Yesterday the eagles spent about 6 hours in transit to thier hotel. Will spend 2 nights in the hotel away from thier partners and family. Sleep in strange bed and eat in public places

Mcgovern with no time to recover from injury

Howe was able to train yesterday and sleep in his own bed. Got 3 days longer to recover and will drive to the grand final after sleeping in own bed. The collingwood players all sleeping in thier own bed playing on thier home ground able to train normaly. Not having thier process ruined by the grand final parade. All able to get blowies from thier partners before bed enabling a good sleep.

West coast fans spending thousands to make to the game. Travelling for days. Whole life and family disrupted. Collingwood fans paying the same for ticket's as west coast fans.

Yet west coast are the higher ranked team.

It's bullshit

Just watching the parade.... and remembering this time last year. Filled with hope and anticipation. :( No matter the outcome tomorrow, there’ll be one club’s supporters that will feel just as shit as we did.
That's collective minds right there.

Collective depression.

I've had serious Déjà vu watching things unfold this week. Let's hope the GF and subsequent media coverage don't play out like last year.

The word is spelt their. I comes before E except when it doesn't. ;)

And, yes, it is indeed bullshit. Highest ranked team should be at home. Just like last year.

This^

Its really that simple. So its so important that all Non-Vic sides are in unison together.
On the contrary, an easy Collingwood win further compounds the fact that the MCG is a huge advantage to Victorian clubs and the GF shouldn't be there.

If West Coast win, then whenever the topic of moving the GF gets raised, will be met with "but West Coast won, you just weren't good enough"

Logically West Coast should win this :-

Their attack beats Collingwood’s defence
Their defence beats Collingwood’s attack
Midfield edge to Collingwood marginally

Hope that is the case.

West Coast win it gives all non-Victorian sides hope we can all win @ G on GF day coz the contract isn’t going to be changed for the foreseeable future.
