I think we really need to worry about winning this game before we start thinking too much about the Essendon game, and D. Thomas playing a fair chunk of it rather than a cameo role as sub surely helps with that. I'm still hoping it's meant to be J. Thomas as the sub.

Obviously plenty of people were baffled by that news and assumed they had the wrong Thomas (doubting Thomas'?). Given his importance to the side and the fact he had an interrupted pre-season I understand the need to not rush things with Dale, but leaving him in the 21 and taking him off for decent breaks when necessary would have made sense to me.

Winning this game is clearly vital, I think when/if we get our best lineup available sometime down the track we will be formidable, but we don't want to drop too far down the ladder in the meantime.

I reckon bringing Daisy on as a half high forward to possibly kick a couple of goals late (if no injuries before then *touch wood*) might be a way of keeping him fresh for ANZAC Day. Need to have a good start here. Can't afford to let them get away like the other three teams.
