What was really noticeablewas how pissweak the defence was in the first 15-20 minutes of the match- when they needed to be dialled in and setting the tone.
Mcdonald is a disgrace to the jumper and was doing his best to get the crows off to a good start (see rankine goal). Simpkin was soft and fumbly off half back and disrupted a number of chains.
Corr was half hearted and unaccountable as usual.
Tuckers skills were atrocious.
Comben and hardeman were the only ones who were at it 100%.
Zurhaar alsoplayed like a millionaire. Gtfo.
The kids actually look OK in patches bit the aforementioned are a big reason why we're not progressing as a football team.

We have shit defenders yes but we are absolutely set up to lose and concede big scores. It’s clearly not working and Clarko is doing nothing to change it.

Yeah he runs alot but he is very weak physically and is a horrible kick. Has absolutely no depth control. It’s embarassing.

Cancels itself out because he thinks Phillips is half decent. Couldn't be more wrong. Scott is a HOF legend in comparison.

In early Noble games you could see some elements of playing quick through the corridor only to be brought undone by superior teams.

In the worst Brad Scott games you could at least see the so called "meat grinder" outpointing the contests.

The most dire Laidley games at least saw a couple of blokes punching on.

We are just nothing right now. No pressure, no skill, no pace, no endurance. Individuals brjng their stellar junior careers to the club and bit by bit we erode them down to gluggy messes.

Will admit it's a paradox. We got the dream coach, we got the early picks over 4 years. Yet we look worse than ever. Barely a heartbeat.

I agree that it’s probably a good thing we don’t have a home game in Melbourne for a while given our performances. But it’s absolutely disgusting that we have a fixture where members can’t see their footy team for 7 weeks.

It’s a ******* disgrace that members of a club get treated like that when clubs like Collingwood virtually play in Melbourne every week.

Our team is a rabble and this comp is a farce. We travel for 4 out of our next 6 games. Hobart x 2, Darwin and Perth. It’s a worse travel schedule than interstate sides.

I think the biggest issue aside from the poor defensive set-up (and defenders) is the lack of quality senior players. Most of them are not even journeymen, they’re just nowhere near AFL standard. When you’re playing 8-10 of those guys every week combined with smaller younger players it is a horrible recipe. Our list management has been a disaster and unfortunately we have got most of the key decisions wrong.

When Barassi came on board we were able to get Davis, Rantall and Wade as well as getting Cable back around the same time. That made a huge difference to a young, talented team.

Sydney followed the same blueprint when they brought in Lockett and Roos.

If we could get that level of senior player we could turn this around fairly quick.

Unfortunately it’s highly unlikely that any decent senior player would come to North right now. So our only real hope is to develop the hard nosed professionals we need from within - but that seems even more unlikely at the moment.

Bottom line is that we are in the middle of a doom spiral and we are going to need a shit load of luck to get out.

We have Nill fitness at AFL. Zurhar is fat. McDonald can't run. Simpkin can't break tackles et Al the rest of the over 25 year olds. This today was on the senior players and the entire coaching panel. Sonja Hood doesn't escape either. No standards. And I'm sick to death over the amount of attention this club takes on non football stuff like the huddle. Just fix the bloody fundamentals or you're going to break NMFC.

Absolutely smashed in every part of the ground again. Lucky it wasn’t much worse on the scoreboard. I don’t know what to say. Yes we know where we are at and yes we have a lot of work to do but this is hard to watch every week. Teams that aren’t much chop look brilliant against us.

Curtis in the middle, Larkey in the middle, those moves gave us lifts but robbed us as well. Still better to see something different tried.
