Sorry James.
Carlton getting belted, JB “everyone just wants to see this great club back where it belongs”.
North getting belted, no dialogue - JB too busy belting himself about how great the opponent is.

AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Sorry James.
Unfortunately this is correct. We have a real stench of Carlton from about 5 years ago who topped up on average players to try and supplement a large age gape in their list. Guys like Whiley, Jachs, Lamb, Wright, Phillips, Mullett, etc etc etc. Have a look at who Sydney have aged between 24 - 30, guys like Heeney, Mills, Lloyd, Dawson, Reid, Papley Hewitt. All very good players.100%. But there is a difference between a young list and a talented young list.
We have drafted & recruited a lot of very average players and at present we are simply not up to AFL standard.
This “rebuild” will take a lot longer than everyone here thinks.
Also I’d now expect Cunners and possibly Taz to hang up the boots at the end of this year which will leave us in an even bigger hole.
Plausible.Unfortunately this is correct. We have a real stench of Carlton from about 5 years ago who topped up on average players to try and supplement a large age gape in their list. Carlton had a couple of very dark seasons in which their 24-28 year olds who are meant to be the most productive players were just honest battlers and I fear we are in the same boat and it's going to be very challenging viewing for another couple of years.
Just wondering eveyones opinion as to when we should have started the rebuild. What year-season and how would we you would have gone about itHow is that a great article? Brad bottled his chance to rebuild first time around then acts like some sort of football whisperer 3 years later as if he suddenly had his Isaac Newton apple moment.
There's a lot of unfair revisionism around Brad lately but fu** him and the Brand Brad Scott PR horse this article rode in on.
Fun fact - you can't spell Brand without Brad.
Ease up KC - no one can say JB didn't give good (invaluable) service to the North Melbourne Football Club. As a commentator, I imagine he's sensitive to criticism that he's soft on the club he supportsCarlton getting belted, JB “everyone just wants to see this great club back where it belongs”.

Charlie is my new favorite. Love what he is bringing so far.another little flame ... Charlie skipping away again from the opposition wasn't bad either
R00StaR - This absolutely made my dayWhat time does the game start? (for us)
I honestly can't stand listening to JB commentate our games. Luke Darcy was more positive than JB was. By trying to be unbiased, he goes too far the other way.And JB talking crap in the commentary completely missed Powell's handball. Literally did not call it.
I hate cats yet I always seem to have one. I’ll try and pat it but it’s a real bastardLike Jordan Peterson says in his 12 Rules For Life, "Pat a cat'. He means seek enjoyment in life.

Unless we are winning. Then watch them both do a complete 360!
I have no problem with chasing Martin and Kelly, but when that failed, we had no Plan B. Typical Brad Scott....It was my understanding that he went with the top up option and then when that didn't work he went back to the board and wanted to go the rebuild route.
It reeks of trying to put lipstick on a pig at what was a largely failed tenure.
Fun fact - as North Melbourne coach Brad Scott holds the record for the most comprehensive losses against more sides than any other coach in history.
JB has been taking tips from Josh Kelly in how to show you love the club by continually distancing yourself from them.Well that would explain the last 10 years of distancing himself to the point of barracking against us in his commentary.
Maybe he can get a Carlton tattoo to really throw the scent.
Lol look here son.
Sydneys senior players all playing. Kennedy, Buddy, Parker, Rampe, Heeney etc.. they are all on the park. Also Richmond d
Essendon are sh*t, St Kilda just let em waltz all over them however, that shouldnt have happened.
For us to be competitive, our back 6 need to be all playing. No corr, mcdonald, tarrant, bonar. Our midfield hasnt had a food run at it either, anderson again injured, cunners is underdone, polec is injured and dumont again out.
these folk need to be on the park together. Then we will see much more competitive output.
the high performance team and fitness staff need a kick up the arse
I think the running is there, it popped up a few times, just when the passes are chopped off, the wave of runners heads back the other way. I watched a bit of the replay yesterday and JB mentioned that the dogs are the best at creating, and thus scoring from turnovers. There 1st 4 were directly from turnovers. Fwiw I only watched the 1st quarter of the replay
It takes years to get properly AFL fit and we had 6 players from the last 3 drafts, many of them had interruptions in the last two seasons or this pre season as well. So that isn't really a surprise. When the opposition is running 5% further than you are then it's pretty clear we're not fit enough.
And when you're not fit enough how do you implement a game plan effectively?
We need to get these kids fit and set standards.
You've been calling for this for years.Pretty ordinary cliche riddled statement from Buckley - not sure why he bothered if that's all he was going to say.
However after 3 games we have had the CEO pleading we turn up to Good Friday now the Chair issuing a statement about staying the course.
This is going to be some long year.
That isn't what he said.No chairman's statement would ever do anything to counter the negatives of a performance like that, but Buckley's letter is particularly ill-conceived on this occasion. It's one thing when supporters resign themselves to poor showings, or adopt a "wait and it will come" mentality in relation to our present predicament - but for the man at the head of the board to be dealing in such passive and fatalistic nonsense as "footy goes in cycles and it can and will turn", like we have no control over our fortunes and bad results just happen to us, is... well, unhelpful, to say the least. Together with the bulk of the message being that, um, nothing is going to change ("we remain steadfast", "we will not deviate", "we will continue to reinforce...", "we must remain calm", etc.), and it all adds up to a pretty poor attempt at damage control.
