No. Ashwin and Jadeja more than likely will run through the side again as they do all sides in India.

As much as we don't want to admit it these Tests are much more about whether India play below their level rather than if Australia playing up to theirs. If India play anywhere close to their best no side can get close to them in India.

Although hopefully McDonald has had Heals SEN masterclass on repeat and we'll be sweet. And as long as those damn selectors stop picking the spuds and pick the gun players.

The Australian legends will come out and say they need to play from the crease or use their feet but do it without getting stumped and all and sundry will be like "yeah why don't they listen?"

Yep, no need for 3 "front line" spinners IMO, get the extra seamer in and Head is a more than handy 3rd spin option + Smith as well.

Kuhnemann is nothing more than cannon fodder for the Indians.

I prefer to think of it as only India can beat India at home.

In both 2004 and 2012-13, politics either had players selected well past their prime (Tendulkar and Sehwag) leading to not nearly enough runs on some juicy batting decks or had a rogue pitch curator (Nagpur) serving up something a good deal bouncier and greener than it would've been otherwise.

I think our batsmen are terrified of getting out stumped, hence the lack of footwork/positivity. In my opinion there's nothing worse than missing straight balls from spinners and getting out plumb lbw when there's a chance to smother the ball and negate the turn.
You can't pressure a bowler to vary his length when you stay trapped on the crease, it's a strategy doomed to fail.

That's unfortunately not going to change, the lack of footworks is so bad domestically it's not going to change internationally.

Agree. You look a real goose, but even worse, you send a signal to their spin duo that you are easy pickings.. just like we have done in both second innings of this series. The Indian public must be smirking over their vindaloo at how inept we have been against spin on this tour.

Only one bloke has done this, Pete Handscomb. Any wonder he has looked our best and the one player least likely to succumb without a whimper. It was a must for CA to drum into all batsmen at end of first match to follow Handscomb's spin blueprint for the remaining matches. Beats me why these coaches and selectors are paid the big bucks to produce mediocrity.

Yeah I can understand your angst and frustration BGman with regards to morris...and as a WA supporter it would be great to see him play. If he doesn't get a look in for the last test which it looks like the indians are preparing a wicket to suit english conditions I will be extremely P**ed off

He has had enough experience mixing drinks..its time to play him or get back in the shield IMHO
