Oh but Redden tackles! And he smothers! Sure he's ineffective and can't find the ball, but oh the pressure. Waste of a trade.

Seriously pondering whether to tune in to the second half when there's so much else on offer like watching the grass grow or shoving a pin in my eye.

The discrepancy between the two teams in terms of pace and pressure is killing us.

It's like the Hawthorn game. It's not a handful of players. It's every player playing shit which tells me it's a coaching and preparation issue. Simpson has clearly not worked it out after years and for that reason he should be sacked

What's surprising is the fact i'm even still watching this trainwreck :ambulance:

Back in the day when we were routinely flogged i could sit back and watch the development of the kids, but this is one of the oldest lists in the comp.

Absolutely NO excuse for this sort of performance. It's the worst game eagles performance i can remember witnessing for a very long time.

Not even sure where to start. Lions on the bottom of the ladder vs the top of the table Crows put up a better fight than we are now. And that team actually is young and developing.

Can't wait to listen to the dipshits on the podcast (theirs, not ours) laugh and joke about this game in a few days like it means absolutely nothing. Hard life.

Disgraceful performance Simmo should make them do a lap of Etihad at haftime ..

Simmo should be leading the lap then, his trash game plan.

I wonder if we struggle after long rather than short breaks . First the Hawks after 10 day break , and now Essendon after a 9 day break
(After losing to the Bulldogs after the bye , with an extra 2 days off compared to them )

Hopefully this is the reality check that helps us make some more tough decisions. Conceding that Jack Darling is not cut out for AFL football is one of them.
Cripps for Hill was celebrated as a "tough decision" and that's going great.

Can't see us going further than that.. but I'd love to rest Priddis for "general soreness" and play him at EP alongside Darling for a few games.

We're playing as well as can be expected, bunch of "Zimmer Framers" in the middle and the turn over merchant of the century still getting "Insta Picked" every week even though he hasn't hurt an opposition team ever.

Not all the time. I like to vent more on BF when we're playing poorly so because if that I appear more negative than I usually am.

You vented every week we made the Grand Final, only to cap it off with an "I told you so" because we lost...in the Grand Final. You've vented every week this season. You said season over in a 40+ point road win in Round 1. You are a troll who doesn't deserve a free pass.

We should not be surprised at the way the game is going , we have seem it so many times before. :worried::persevere::angry:

Soft ***** are plentiful on our list , half time and the contested possession count is 85 to 52 in the Bombers favour.

Not even angry at the moment more hoping, :praying: that the Football Operations Dept , Match Committee and Recruiting Dept are given a Please Explain by the Board.

I dont want to make excuses but this seems to be the story for the Eagles in Melbourne.

Surely the prep mid-week needs to be looked at or the time we fly shifted earlier/later in the week to see how that effects the team on game day.

At Subi we're elite. In Melbourne we're not interested? I dont buy it.. I get the feeling everyone running onto the ground is already spent.

Well sadly we can't sack all the players, so may as well start with the coaching because I see a distinct lack of it today.

It is the same old story really. Not many of our players willing to crack in and win the ground ball and/or apply pressure which means the oppo can literally walk the ball out of contests and our defenders are left exposed. It has happened too many times now for it not to be only an issue with players but with coaching too.
