Yes we really missed Dusty running around trying to tackle people, instead of winning the ball and kicking goals.

A bit like when Pendles won the ANZAC medal a few years ago and there were boos from quite a few in the crowd and the coach at the time Nathan Buckley said to the crowd with the microphone:
"Shame on anyone who boos a champion"
Some people on here just love to pot Dusty (and other champions of the game). Anyone who does that...hold your heads in shame. Disgraceful.

Dusty was a very good player who played his best in the most high profile games. Was exciting to watch. But people pointing to one decent game as if that has any bearing on this tiresome argument is just as bad as those using a poor game to suggest he was never any good.

With Bolton out due to concussion I won't be surprised if Dusty misses next week too. That way he gets to play his 300th in Melbourne instead of SA.

(anybody in pre-Norm Smith history got close? A Pies player in the late 1920s? Dees player in the 50s?)
Bradman-esque in GFs, the biggest, toughest, game that exists, probably does make him GOAT
You could play a hundred H&A games well, but counts for nothing if you go into your shell on the big day, quite a few fans of other clubs would attest to that, ask Cats fans for example.

I wouldn't have him as the GOAT, but he's still an all time great of the game. I'd have him as the best finals player of all time though.Robbo has just called Dustin Martin the greatest player of all time.
