He is the greatest ever Grand Final Day player and there is no argument otherwise. Each performance was dominant.

Gary Ablett had a better home and away career.

Judd I'm not as convinced as Eagles Judd was much better than Carlton Judd and he didn't have great longevity.

Judd? Longevity - lack of?

He played 279 games. Surely that's enough in terms of longevity??....

I think some people mark Judd down because Carlton Judd seems a shadow of Eagles Judd. But Eagles Judd was tracking as the potential modern GOAT, I rate his best better than GAJ's, whereas Carlton Judd was just sublimely good. Remember, he still won a Brownlow and a Leigh Mathews Medal at Carlton.

I agree Eagles Judd was crazy good.

Eagles Chris Judd, impact wise...as good if not better than Ablett Jnr. As good as Martin's impact. Judd was an outstanding. Champion of the game.

Should never have received two of the three Norm Smith Medals.

Against Geelong it was deserved but there were better players for Richmond in 2017 and 2019.

it's not just the important goals he got himself but the crucial times he got the ball, drew 4 or 5 opponents like bees to a honey pot and and delivers on a platter to a teammate to finish his brilliant work.

Martins Grand Finals were on a different level to anyone else

No they weren't.
For starters, two of them he bobbed up in the second half when the game was all but finished. This is where the Martin butt sniffers rewrite history and make it out as though he single-handedly won them the games. He did not. He played in a champion team full of stars and they would have won 2 of the 3 grand finals without him.
Fairly sure the consensus at the time was that should should’ve been awarded his first Norm Smith also?

FWIW 2017 AFLCA GF BOG (initialism overload) was Houli.

The NSM not being the same player as the coaches’ choice for BOG also happened in 2022. I don’t know if it has happened in any other GFs.

Dusty got 43 of 45 Norm Smith votes in 3 Grand Finals.

Dusty got 28 of 30 Coaches votes in 3 Grand Finals.

Dusty was the highest rated player by Champion Data in all 3 Grand Finals.

But he wasn't BOG in 2 of those GF's apparently. :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Well, the debate is all over now. 92k are not turning up for anyone else's 300th in a mid-winter game between non-finalists. The people have spoken. Dusty was officially announced by them yesterday as the GOAT. eyes:
Was it the worst 300th game ever played? Haven't seen the news yet, I'm assuming he retired this morning?

On SM-A225F using BigFooty.com mobile app

The dozen or so current players and coach asked during Friday nights game who the goat was and nobody names dusty.. make it make sense Meteoric..

All the extra crowd did was ramp up the attention on the real story: the resurgent Hawks, with their rebuild tracking very nicely indeed.

And Jiath's 50 was a memorable one for them.

Many congratulations for all you Tigers who were there to support them.

You don't get it. It is exactly what happened.
That's a new stretch even for you.

Now crowd size is a direct correlation to a players status. Got it.

Lucky they played an inform hawthorn and not the giants or suns..

I would have hated for only 60k crowd to turn up and, by default, mean dusty wasn't the goat.
