Go cats. I didn’t expect to get a win today but I tipped us in the comp I’m in. Yeehaa.
Tackled so well. And played on well. Still made plenty of mistakes and took the wrong options but gee they were dogged. Deserved the points today. Ran the game out better than Freo which was a good sign- we must be fit.
Go danger- what a footballer-he will be sore for a few days. Plenty of them worked hard all day. Bit of goal kicking practice would be handy. Might finish top 4 if cards fall our way. It’s going right to the line this year.
Well done cats.

3.4 to 1.1 in the last 1/4 gets us home

Top 4 baby !!

We had no right winning that one based on the missed chances.

Lots of players down for much of that one.

We needed to be the best in the last 1/4 and we did get up.

PFD, Stewy, Blitz, Mannagh, Zuthrie, Jezza in the last 1/4 lifted big time.

Stanley was good, Atkins , Holmes. Close, good too.

Getting the win for JEzza in 250 was important for him

WE are now 3rd and just wont go way.

WE cant stop now - gotta keep pushing.

Neale showing moments, Humphries too...

Bowes busy early.

Stengle quiet and 2E was too. Duncan not so flash and the age is catching them

Reckon Ollie Henry is hurt and it shows.

Bruhn concussed so hes out next week sadly.

Much needed 4 points and a good win

Might be season defining and our best win V Freo over there.

GO CAtters

Bowes 1st quarter and Atkins middle period of the game went a long way to securing the win. Loved Bowes intensity in that 1st quarter, he really nailed a number of tackles. He was good late in the game, too.

Caleb Serong showed his class, as did the pesky Jordan Clark, but we absolutely deserved that win and our season is really starting to bear some salubrious fruit.

We actually a chance to finish 2nd now and land a home final (at the G) v an interstate side.

Dees beating Port tonight would be handy but not a must.

Freo play Port in WA in the last game of the year... So Port could drop that one instead of tonight.

We'd need to get the W next week and then flog WC for some % in the last round.

Very possible... 2nd is a real chance now.

I'm guessing this is in reference to Ollie?

In the third quarter when he took that mark inside 50, he landed very heavily and looked in a fair bit of discomfort - hip/buttocks area took the brunt of the landing

He tried stretching it out and could see he was hampered by it after that point in time - wouldn't have been surprised if he was subbed off had we not already needed to use it or if he misses next week
Yes sorry, Ollie. Even from the opening, though he did lay a tackle or two, he’s lacking intensity and awareness when he doesn’t have the ball that will prevent him from being among the games best forwards. If he doesn’t sort it out.

When they showed a replay of his match winning goal, one of the commentators said "Mannagh is never missing that" and it is true. Who else started celebrating as soon as he got it in his hands running towards goal? Such a classy player.
Yeah you just knew it was going through..
Nothing fancy. Run hard. Collect. Compose. Kick the leather (and the bladder) through the big sticks.

The Dockers looked much smoother with the ball, our kicking on goal was atrocious, we struggled to stick tackles, and often missed targets.....and yet we won.

Go figure.

The pressure in the last quarter was manic, and with it came the realisation that the boys knew what was on the line and cared.

Danger led the way, and aside from that rushed behind, he moved mountains.

Stanley was real solid, Mannagh was good, Atkins tried hard, and Stewart was Stewart.

This might've created some belief amongst the boys.

He got a HTB in the first quarter.

We have no right to be this good, moment by moment we were more impactful. Their possession game became a trap for them.

Credit to the coaches in finding a way.

Earlier in the year we were undone by what Freemantle brought. 2nd half we did a fantastic job in keeping our shape
I think you’re thinking 2023, we haven’t played them this year

Clark's one of the few I regret losing but seeing him mouth off to the umpire makes me think that less.

If he'd done that and was playing for us you know it would have been a 50.

cats_09 calder_daddy I'm very jealous of you 2 get to watch that game live

Even better as the lone Geelong adult (think there was a kid or two) in the area of the bay I was sitting

I had to laugh, just after Mannagh kicked the sealer, a lady behind me trying to keep the positives for Fremantle was saying, "there's still a while to go" - I turned around to tell her that there was 1 minute left

When asked how I knew, I pointed to the benches both holding up 1 signs 😂

I started to breathe slightly easier

Now for ice-cream and to proudly wear the colours back to town

Lot of people owe Rhys Stanley a sincere apology, won us that game.

Not me, I toldya earlier good Stanley was up for it. 36 Hit outs!
Enough knocks in the GDT so I'm saying we did that with the sheer guts of a Cat Burglar.
Despite the team being thrown into disarray with Bruhn and Rohan out. Good job.
