Nobody wants us to/thinks we can win a flag more than the anti-Hinkley contingent.

If we weren't that fussed about winning a flag having an incompetent doofus as a coach who gets us to the finals about half the time would be pretty funny

I’d be happier if it was a day game, I think our chances improve massively over a night game.
Night games bring back bad memories (dogs final) day game good memories (Richmond final).

Nice little warm up match before our finals begin against the Saints or Giants on Semi Final weekend.

We will lose. I'm incredibly confident. We might push them but never look like winning, or we'll just be blown out.

I'm a little worried that Jonas and his experience will be picked ahead of Jones who was horrible yesterday. Not my preference, but my prediction as Jonas has been playing well last few games.

IN: Lycett, McKenzie, Dixon, Marshall
OUT: Hayes, Jones, Lord, McEntee

I had a similar thought on Jones but then remembered he pushed Jonas out of the side in the first place. Jonas will only play if McKensie can't - Jones has proved himself and we'll want his speed in finals.

When the coach admits he is scared and he obviously can't handle pressure. It's hard to be optimistic.

Brisbane are undefeated at home this year. If we beat Brisbane guaranteed it will be mission accomplished and another prelim loss incoming.

Jones is one of those players that if he goes on instinct ie no time to think he does ok.
Most of his errors occur when he’s in a position waiting for the ball to arrive or has the ball and has plenty of time before disposal.
When we are playing fast he looks much better.
I think he has improved though and I reckon he’ll continue to do so.

Blind faith has nothing to do with it, we are good enough to win the flag this year, that’s something I truly believe.
I don’t support the coach I support the team.
You should try it sometimes you might actually enjoy yourself.

Not all worship Butcher, I’ve never liked us drafting him from day one and the other two drongos we took with him just made the draft an absolute shocker.

Daryl Poole was my favourite player when we came into the AFL. Big tough sanfl campaigner no one wanted to **** with lol

Big fan of people getting cross at the Butcher love. It's like 50% meme 50% he was managed badly. He was just such fun to hitch the wagon to and ride the waves of it. Some of the best fun ive had at the footy was when Butcher was having set shots, the crowd was so incredibly invested in it going in. It was great fun.

Then the infamous night when we were a disgrace and everyone went to the pub with Butch and Trengove etc and had a great time, with Butch re-signing shortly after.

Long story short, if you get upset by it you are being deliberately contrarian. His last game was such a thing of legends lmao. I miss it

Could be such a great study on what makes sport great.

In hindsight its pretty funny that Hinkley was the enemy with the Butcher thing too lmao.
