I thought Sam Butler was awful in defence.
He holds on to the ball and kicks loopy high kicks that are crap.
His running back in defence he always gets run past, other eagles are have to cover his player as he is too
slow to keep up

Redden and Masten show no real desperation.
Both cant tackle. never can mark.

Cant believe Jordan Snadden was dropped to East Perth reserves his form was great and got dropped,
so many other WCE players at East Perth have been much worse and got a game.

He and Mutimer are our only quality young mids.

Hopefully Mutimer gets a call up

Our problem is our ball movement, no one is taking the game on regularly

Coach is walking on thin ice, the in ability of players to run and carry and to move the footy
quickly, is showing his coaching ability to be suspect.

How do you rate Snadden's prospects for a 2017 debut?

I assume you're forgetting about Venables.

You rate Snadden ahead of Partington?

Out peahearts, Cousins (strangely we have dropped off since he was jailed, supply issues?) & nice guy Simpson.

In F$$k knows, maybe Lamb & one new face.

Today clearly showed this year is the last throw of the dice before we need to cut deep and begin the rebuild.

You want the peahearts out but you want Lamb in??

DV is still 4 weeks away

Snadden being a rookie and Simpson one of the most conservative coaches at selection table
he is very unlikely to get a game.
He got 24 odd in the reserves and is playing a position we need good players.
He has attributes as a inside mid we need, he's a great size 190cm is very quick, can stand up in a tackle
and has a very good hand ball his kicking is generally okay, though at times his decision making can be of.
He can also stick a tackle something Redden Masten and Sheed cant do.

Out: Priddis (rested), Cripps (inj)
In: Mutimer, Partington

Would like to see Snadden and a lot of the young players get a go. Can't help but think our list is in pretty bad shape.

Haters gonna hate but Masten has been far from our worst today.
There have been plenty of bad players, but he didn't do a hell of a lot right today. Several momentum killing handballs behind players which resulted in turnovers, and he was pushed off the ball far too easily again and again.

I rate all our rookies ahead of most of our side right now.
Chuck them all in and we would get to see some kids give a fair crack. Not like some of the spineless gimps we have now.
Look at Freo. Big loss to port and Lyon drops some old head and puts in kids and they are on fire.
Going to beat us easily this week.

Priddis, Masten, Butler and Lecras out.

Why?

Have you watched a Freo game this season by any chance?

They have horrible skills. We, as frustrating as this is, play very differently at home.

If we did go down, I'd expect it's be around 10-15.

I think we have them covered, which don't get me wrong, means sweet **** all in the grand scheme of things.

EDIT: Cripps and Sheppard as out, with potentially Gaff could make me change my tip. But right now, no I think we've got them covered.

Dont drop sheed or duggan.
Time we drop some of these untouchables.

Agreed, our worst performers at the MCG over the years have been our senior players. The likes of Lecras, Hill, Kennedy, Schofield, Hurn, Priddis and Butler.

A message would be sent if the senior players were dropped for MCG matches because of their poor history.

Our young guys showed no fear of the MCG and played like it

I think another problem are these indecisiveness and poor decisions when we have the ball which seems to be magnified when we play at the MCG, and that is due to perceived pressure from the opposition like Hawthorn, Collingwood or a Geelong who are strong tacklers

Now defensively I think we tend to zone off and correl the ball carrier, which gives them time to make the right decision. This has to change, we need to tackle the opposition.

Yeah I was just responding to the notion that Mutimer and Snadden were our only good mids. But I gotcha.

You're right that Simpson is conservative. I haven't seen enough of Snadden to form an opinion but I think we are in a position where we need to tinker with the side and maybe gift a few games.

SAMMY BLOODY MITCHELL WOULD BE WATCHING THIS SHIT SAYING WHY THE **** DID I JOIN THIS TEAM AND WHY THE **** DID I WIN A BROWNLOW RETROSPECTIVELY, AND SANS ALL THE WONDERFUL SHIT PRIDDIS GOT ON THE NIGHT HE WRONGFULLY WON ONE. WHY DID I HAVE TO SHARE THIS MOMENT WITH TRENT ****ING COTCHIN AND HIS BLOC HEAD WHILE PRIDDIS GOT TO WIN ONE BY HIMSELF? THE LAME campaigner PROBABLY HAD A COUPLA SPRITZERS AND WAS TUCKED INTO BED BY MIDNIGHT. DETH TO PRIDDIS!

I have watched Freo play.

They beat the bulldogs comfortably and came from behind to win two games they should have lost.

Going pretty well at the moment.
