Was excited by this kid when I first seen him play. Was one touch and clean around the contest and just seemed to naturally know where to position himself.

Hasn't been able to get any continuity in his body the first few years on the list but hopefully he has a good game and shows enough to get another year at least.

Good to see Trewie get a chance. Talented player who has been cruelled by injuries.

WAFL form didn’t demand selection but he could have been plugging away there and never got a chance. I think he might be someone who is motivated by the higher grade. Best of luck to him anyway.
In his last two WAFL games he has contributed without dominating but showed that he has the capability to play at a higher level. Moments of class.

Somewhat concerned he hasnt had time to build an AFL fitness level. How many WAFL games has he played this season? I recall after his 1st game back from along injury layoff he said it was great but his legs was a long way off full fitness. Playing your 1st game and not being fully match fit is a big ask.

Happy he is getting a crack. Sub maybe a good call. Hope he gets a run of consecutive matches.

Played rounds 3 to 6 and then 9 and 10

Missed rounds 7 and 8 with a knee issue described as an ITB complaint by the club

Kinda sends the wrong idea I feel, when players who dont show that much in the WAFL are rewarded with AFL games and the ones who go well are ignored. I am not against Trew or Cully getting a game, but SPS? On watching the WAFL game last weekend, Clark was near on best on ground and should rightfully feel miffed at being overlooked.

Keen to see Trew debut, but I am wondering what it means for Clark.

Is Clark contracted for next year?

West seems to be the preferred option out of the depth midfielders at this stage.

Id imagine they are happy with Clark and want to see what Trew is capable of.

Clark was a shoe in for round 1 but the shoulder set him back somewhat and with that they have gone with West over him for the meantime.

Clark still contracted for next year

Trew isn’t so as others have said I think they want to have a look at him at AFL level to help decide if he’s worth persisting with
