Changes for Round 4

OUT: Garlett
IN: Scotland

Why would Garlett, Robinson, Russell be ahead of Scotland in being selected? Scotland played one bad game and gets dropped.

Setanta versus B.Hall would be interesting...
This wouldn't have anything to with one's fantasy side would it?

But yes, I was surprised that Scotland was dropped after being our worst on ground last week.

yes, Garlett should definitely go for Scotland

I also think Mitch Robinson needs a break and if Fisher or Carazz are healthy should be instant starters.

Wouldn't mind Setanta coming in but we needed him in for the Essendon match not the sydney one.:thumbsu:

To be honest it does (but it didn't matter as I had cover).

But even as a footy supporter, Scotland has been a proven player in the last few years. Now if Blues were 0-2, then sure drop Scotland and give some rookies a go to experience the atmopshere, but Blues were 2-0 and on paper should have won easily and be 3-0.

It won't matter as Blues should finish top 8 this year. Bombers will be 9-12 (sigh)

IN: Scotland, Carrazzo
OUT: Garlett, ???

If both Carrazzo and Scotland perform well on Sunday, someone like Simpson could well fins himself back in the reserves. He has been ordinary this season so far, particularly with regards to his finishing skills. His role isn't THAT important that someone like Grigg can't take over.

Daniel Rich could play the Simpson role pretty well.

Why hasn't Joseph been named by many people???

Is he our tagger?? He's not a on-baller, he's not a crumbing forward and he's not a solid backman??

What did he do? All i saw was Davey, Dempsey and Lovett run around like headless chook's all night - surely he's job was to kept one of these blokes quite??

Yes most of you might remember he held G.Ablett that night but that was a NAB cup game - who cares!!!

Thought the game lost in the coaches box and on the selectional panel.

OUT: Joseph & you can add another 2 players here but I'll leave that challenge to the selectors (I can't do everything for them:cool:) - hopefully they can redeem themselves???
IN: ????

I see your point and I agree with majority of it, but missing a set shot from 15m out does not sit well with me. This was not the first time he has done it either. Look back at the other 2 games he's played and count how many easy set shots he's missed.

Great sticky hands, courage that never ends - but kicking for goal is shocking.
because he cant kick a goal he will be dropped?
drop fev then!!!!

wiggins was fantastic saturday night, sure he may miss sitters but his main job is leading up the ground

Russell out for Scotland (Scotland plays his role and does it better). Russell can't handpass or kick.

Garlett out for Yarran. Garlett is a long way from ready and Yarra needs to be blooded.

Simpson out for Armfield. (Simpson can't kick, Armfield was excellent in the nab cup and in the ants). Simmo needs a wake up call. Army is as good a runner as Simpson if not better.

I can't think who to remove to fit Setanta in. Bower comes to mind. O'hAilpin would be good on Hall and free up Waite and Thornton. It could be Jacobs if we decide not to go with two ruckmen.

Won't hurt to make a lot of changes, give blokes a rest/wake up call early on and see who can do the job better

Would love to see:

In: Fisher, Carrazzo, Armfield, Scotland
Out: Russell, Gartlett, Joseph, Cloke

I do not want to see Setanta playing AFL ever again for Carlton. Id much prefer see Thornton be undersized on Hall and have him kick 6 goals on us. The game won't be won or lost off Barry's boot, it will simply be who turns up to play. O'hAilpin is a MASSIVE liability and I would be embarassed to see him in our team ever again.

Realistically:

In: Scotland
Out: Joseph/Gartlett

Match reports say Scotland didn't play well in the VFL and he looks short of a run.

The only thing Scotland did against Brisbane was run around in circles.

Why is everyone bringing him in?

Not to mention Yarran who isn't ready.

And people want to drop Jacobs to let Kreuzer ruck against Jolly with Cloke and Setanta for support.

Shocking call to bag Joseph out after the job he did on Hooper last week. Our senior players struggled on the weekend, yet you're bagging Joseph after just his third game.

Flog.

Have school holidays finished?
Daniel Rich could play the Simpson role pretty well.
I wouldn't trade Simpson for Rich unless they give us Brown as well.

Yarran will play Simpson's role better than Rich and Simpson.

Can't be easy for Yazz. He's a one man freak show brought over here to perform on the big stage. Personally I wanted him to hit the ground running but I'm glad I went to see him Sunday to witness the young man myself. He will take a little while yet to find his feet. Would love him to click into gear all of a sudden but it ain't gonna happen. So we wait.

Saw Dennis Armfield just star on the weekend and would have loved his dash on Saturday night.

In : Armfield, Browne
Out: Garlett, Russell

I'd like to see Carlos come into the side and take on Bazza (Hall)

That would such a great 'marketing' tool for the game, like Tyson Vs Hollyfield ...

The lack of height down back is an concern ...

Still think Simpson should be dropped, he has been piss poor so far this season, and we shouldn't not reward 'mediocrity' at this club ... Replace him with Carrots ..

We won't make too many changes.
It looks like Jamison might be back, therefore it will be something like:

In: Jamison
Out: Gartlett (unfortunately)

Joseph Jamison Thornton
Waite Bower Johnson
Stevens Hadley Simpson
Houlihan Wiggins Gibbs
Cloke Fevola Betts
Kruezer Judd Murphy
Jacobs Robinson Russell Grigg

ps. Hopefully Gibbs is ok.

Could be a little out of left field here and might also be on my own with this opinion, but if anyone should be left out of the side this week, it should be Stevens.

I can't beleive we brought Stevens in for this game and left Scotland out. Stevens is weak and has shown on may occasions. On the def 50 Saturday night, ball loose on the ground and someone on his tail, he elects to kick it off the ground instead of picking it up and risk being tackled. In the NAB cup he had someone behind him and instead of taking the ball out of the air, he taps it to nowhere.

If anyone of this team is not up to scratch and doesn't show any heart, it's Stevens.
