I'm sure he is and will make it in time but his time is not yet. He's had a couple of games and not done enough to keep his place. Sounds harsh but that's life.Lol what? He's a hard as nails midfielder.

I like Atley but I think he could go just for now too. He needs time to pick up the speed and improve disposal.
Amon for Atley would be solid for me.
He can't do that directly, but he can release Polec to do that.
I like that he hits a Crow and we get the benefitBernie Vince 2 games for striking Eddie Betts
Watts doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who can play not 100%.Dees board saying Jones and Salem won't play, doubt on Viney but Tyson and Watts in.
I agree with youWe're not playing Atley because of his disposal. We're playing him because he's able to go through the midfield and give SPP and Wines a rest during the hard slog months of July and August. Amon can't do that.
A fit and firing Wines + SPP in finals >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> a few extra games into Amon who knows what is expected of him anyway. Karl should come in, but after the Showdown so those two can get the maximum rest from being battered and bruised all game. Collingwood, Bulldogs, Gold Coast is a nice run in for him to get up to speed.
Spot on. I enjoyed Atley helping with the clearances on the weekend, made it impossible for the Kangas. I've said in the past I'm Amon-blind, that I cannot understand why people rate him, but even so if Atley goes it has to be for another player who can extract the ball from in tight. We're not playing Atley because of his disposal. Wait till Melt Thursday you'll need a box of moggies to calm you downIt's only Monday and I'm nervous and pumped for this encounter
If Amon is to come in then White has to make wayotherwise no change. Lobbe if Ryder doesn't come up.Ill be fairly surprised if Amon doesn't come in this week. Having an extra outside guy especially at the G could be key.
You want to expose Polec to the same scenario?
Personally, I'd rather get experience into Atley while resting all our stars from doing so much heavy lifting and get them cherry ripe for a finals assault. It wasn't coincidence that the Dogs did so well last year because they had the freshest players who were coming back from injury and weren't battered and bruised like everyone else was.
In September, sure, put Amon in Atley's spot and do what you say with Polec. But there's a reason why Sydney is storming home with a wet sail, and it's because they have a side that has a lot of big bodied mids who are now not getting exposed for speed like they were in the opening rounds.
If we're going to play those campaigners - and there's a good chance we will since they might be in the GF - you need all your big bodied mids fresh and up to the challenge so we can expose them on the outside.
Not saying we can't play Amon, it's just not something I'd do cause I'm thinking a) long term and b) how it affects the entire side.
Thank you for having given us <insert random sport invented by the English>, fellows! Now, let us show you how it is played...
Amon for Atley isn't exactly like for like unless Wingard is playing 100% as an inside mid.
Atley, Ebert, SPP and Wines are there so Wingard can play loose.
If Viney doesnt come up port by 70+Tyson and Watts 100% in. Viney probable at this stage. Jones and Salem another week away.
Serves Bernie right the careless idiot. Pull ya head in Bern!!
Hes just the same... he has his moments and thats it.Is Impey improving? I'm a little disappointed that he isn't in games long enough and polished enough to finish off his work. I have believed that there is more upside to his game but he doesn't look like he's developed his game enough since the beginning of the year.
