I disagree.
If stats depict a trend then they can mean a great deal, such as our incredible efficiency when preventing inside 50's from turning into scoring shots and goals. This is a trend that sees us with the third best defence in the comp despite averaging 56 inside 50's against each game which is directly reflective of a much better, more focussed defensive outlook.

Yeah that one I was surprised we got off so lightly. But that just shows how stats can mislead.
The Hawks were on against GC, they couldn't handle it and there backline looked all at sea. There forwards offered very little in the air and were too tall to offer good oressure when it hit the floor. Without Ablett and Swallow that day it would have been much worse.
All just points to what I keep and that is if we show up mentally on Sunday it'll be a comfortable win. Are we mature enough to show up week after week yet im not ao sure on. Thats why I wanna see Swallow either for 3qtrs or as sub. That'll switch the boys on good akd proper.

Anyway, it's a bit cliche, but I think our best chance is a team approach. Around the stoppage no matter who is there, make someone play a defensive role on Ablett. Don't let him run through the middle by himself and when he goes forward have someone on him at all times.
