Was funny last Thursday night, there was a moment Burton had to sprint, to chase a Cats forward and I thought to myself watching him run it was like the old HH days, felt like he was at such risk of pinging a muscle. Amazing how we keep having so many of these players who's body can't hold up, or how poor our injury management/conditioning team is and keeps avoiding scrutiny through their falsified injury reports.

FFS what have we all done to deserve this. Every fckn year everything just falls apart for us at the end of the year. Why can't we have nice things?

Why is it when we get a few injuries or suspension it seems to be all the same position. It's like when Georgiades, Marshall and Finlayson were all out and we had a banged up Dixon in and had to move Esava from defence.

Obviously marshall comes in and we move Esava back to defence, which frees up allir and sinn also comes in.

In: Marshall & Sinn.
Out: McEntee & Burton.

This is what happens when our stupid coach flogs our players into the ground during the season for his own survival.

Lorenz should have played half a dozen games at AFL level by now. Fair chance we are going to throw him into the deep end in a cut throat final.

You just have to remind yourself that after last year's finals debacle that Donuts said publically that he had no faith in the players who did not play in the final against GWS while we had clearly injured players playing in that game. He more or less implied our depth is not up to scratch. It is all on him. You get what you deserve.

Can there be a discussion about anything on here where its not all about the coach. It is so nauseating.

I don't think our injury list is that bad it is just that it's been worsened by the fact we've lost two players to injury that play a similar position to Dan Houston, who was suspended and has nothing to do with being flogged or injury mismanagement.

The Butters injury was just a heavy knock, which is no ones fault.

The loss of Burton is a blow but not a fatal one. This game won't be won by our defenders.

Our 5 star midfield has to stand up. Any midfield that lists a Brownlow medalist only 2 or 3 years ago as number 4 on the depth chart, can win any game any where any time. It was soundly beaten last week. That midfield performing is the game's main issue. By "perform" I mean Rozee, Butters and JHF must not only be creative, they must run defensively as well. Wines, Drew and Mead must not only be tough in contested situations, they must show something going forward too.

This is where the game is won or lost.

It will also help a bit if the forwards could take a contested mark or two at some stage in the game. The reality we cannot fix is that our forward groundball presence relies on Rioli. Others may jag the odd crumb but they aren't AFL class small forwards. There is no point in us using a game plan that relies on bringing the ball to the ground while McEntee, DBJ and Evans are part of the ground troops.

Our tall forwards are AFL class but let us down- Dixon especially. He must take marks. When he does, you watch him draw a crowd. Then Georgiades, Marshall/Raugolea/Rioli and whoever have space and we are a different proposition. But Dixon must take marks and he must take them early.

I was all for dropping Dixon after last Thursday. However, with Frost out, he will have a height and strength advantage over whoever takes him. They have no obvious match up. But he must take marks because he has lost any capacity to be relevant if the ball hits the ground.

That is how we win.

No, there can't be really. He's our senior coach. He's the one ultimately responsible for everything about the team's performance on the field.

LOL the only way we win is if we poison them with dodgy oysters South African style.

Ryan Burton should be delisted he's an absolute waste of time.

Next year is his contract year. He really needs to get into decent shape.

If he's moving around like a geriatric next Feb, he should be seeing out the rest of his deal frozen out in the maggies.

So it feels like Burton and McEntee will be outs and Sinn and Marshall will be ins.

Also feels like Dixon will play so if there's a third change it could be Ratugolea making way.
Great, we need space for MG and Todd to operate but instead we keep a tractor in the forward 50. This club will never move forward under Donuts
