Does Rat go back and DBJ forward?
Does it matter? Neither will have a positive effect down back. Play Esava on Sicily and stop him from intercepting. Rozee at HB with Sinn and DBJ up forward with Mead and Boak to be more inside mid while Narkle plays high half forward + rotates through wing. Someone needs to play on Weddle, maybe that's Narkle, not sure.

4 talls. Wow who would have thought.🙄
Not sure what we are thinking at all.

The best strategy would have been to have Lorenz, Anastosopoulos and Williams all ready and able to play to make sure that we could have at least gone into this game with a modicum of team balance. We were already extremely vulnerable against the Hawks' strengths of speed and ground ball ferocity. We have now weakened ourselves even more in that regard.

4 tall forward structures almost never work for a full game. Georgiades is a tall. He doesn't provide anywhere near enough ground level fight, chase or hustle to be considered anything other. Plus he is our best tall forward. Two of the four tall forwards are glacial slow and will be opposed against clever, agile intercepters. Meek will also make sure Dixon and Ratugolea are ineffective aerially.

The only we can get close in this one, is if our midfield has a game for the ages and basically parks the ball in our forward line for the entire night.

The ball will fly out of our forward line.. no one will be chasing.. maybe Willie? That’s it..

The only explanation for this, is that Esava will start in defence and therefore Ratugolea, BZT and Aliir will cover Chol, Dear and Gunstan. That way DBJ can play forward, and our forward line suddenly looks more nimble and dangerous again. Yes, the balance of our defence might be stuffed up, but it is anyway without Houston, Farrell and Burton.

The way to defeat the Dawks, is to do the exact opposite what the doggies did. Bevo, made the dogs players totally unaccountable, to Hawks players. Hawks players literally ran free, No manning up, no close checking, no minding the men, Sicily was allowed to ponce around, free, Hawk players ran an carry free, no pressure, no tackling, nothing. Dont do what the dogs did, make Hawk players feel the heat, constant pressure, and you can win.
We don't make anyone feel pressure
