Which just means they'll keep their spot next week when we then start our mini run of easier games so they'll stay in for 5 more weeks

And then we’re on the cusp of September, so CONTINUITY becomes the most important selection tenet. Make no mistake, add Lynch, swap Greenwood and CEY in and out and drop ROB at first opportunity for Sauce and you’ve got our first week of finals team that is fully locked in. Murphy goes for Lynch, that’s it, there are no other options.

This season is shaping up to be a disaster.

We're well off the pace, will not finish top four, and have yet again abused our club's future to double down on the same failed seniors. We get a year further away from that premiership window, and we're doing nothing at all to move back towards it.
Pick 2 or 3 does move back towards one, however we have to play them....

They beat Geelong 2 weeks ago who we then lost to. How in the world can you say we win comfortably?
Because we are better than they are.

Geelong are historically ordinary after a bye. We've also already beaten them comfortably

If I woke up with my head sewn to the carpet I wouldn't be more surprised than if Gibbs won the medal.

Lol at the visual image this post conjures up !
Ports changes

INS: Amon, Howard, Rockliff, Westhoff
OUTS: Drew (omitted), Farrell (omitted), Garner (omitted), Ladhams (omitted)

In Westhoff - lols

Not good, lose this one and it’s yet another loss from poor selection policy. I was thinking we had sorted this s**t out. Not good Pyke, tempting fate.
If we lose this it'll have very little to do with selection.

Our team is actually better than it was last week despite the inclusion of Dave.

We were going to do a significant external review last year, weren't we?
They did an internal review, which surprise surprise, found 99% of everything was hunky dory.

They won't open the doors to an external review because they'd likely be hit with some very harsh truths and keeping certain people in comfortable positions is the most important thing at the club.

Port are average, we should beat them as comfortably as we did earlier in the year
I agree that Port is average but if we lose, given the in's we have, what will that make us??? I want to see some new blood rather than putting up with Mac and Doug. Dont mean to be disrespectful to those two but thats not what we need. Also want to see what McAdam and or Stengle get a run at the expense of Murphy.

Becoming disillusioned with the selections that are made.

Otten is not far away. He’ll be in for a tall forward or defender injury without doubt. September is coming.
Think we can rule him out as a forward, however he happens to be our best performed tall defender not in the 1s.

As for selections, looking forward to Douglas costing us another Showdown! Disgraceful that the likes of Jones and Wilson wallow away in the SANFL while constant disappointments and cooked seniors in Douglas and Mackay keep getting gifted games. Does the club really think that we'll win a flag due to experience even though those two especially repeatedly shit themselves on the big stage? I would've thought the GF and last year's Showdown was proof of that but they have no memory or foresight.

To be fair to those 2, they weren't alone on that day in 2017
