How do you know?Bont in doubt![]()
3aw reporting he limped off training track with back spasmsHow do you know?
Yeah, but unless someone reliable says he is in doubt, the 'in doubt' is purely an opinion, not fact.3aw reporting he limped off training track with back spasms
The fact is though he left today's training with back spasms, that has to put a cloud over his availability, Bont is no mere mortal though so is every chance to get himself right. It'll be left to the last minute before deciding if he is fit to play.Yeah, but unless someone reliable says he is in doubt, the 'in doubt' is purely an opinion, not fact.
I know Cleary and a few other culprits aren't investigative journalists, but it bothers me they can't keep their opinions to themselves. State facts, not opinions.

I'd suggest if a player has joined a rehab group, saying they're in doubt to play, as in they're not definitely playing, isn't an opinion it's a matter of fact. That's your opinion.
No it is fact. I agree with your sentiment about footy journalists as a whole but my opinion is that it's misplaced on this occasion. That's your opinion.
Where has it been reported Bont is in the rehab group?I'd suggest if a player has joined a rehab group, saying they're in doubt to play, as in they're not definitely playing, isn't an opinion it's a matter of fact.
Where has it been reported Bont is in the rehab group?
I'm happy to be convinced otherwise, but I haven't read anything definitive.
All I know so far is he left the track early.
I haven't even been convinced Bont suffered from back spasms. All I've seen so far is one Tweet.
Not in dispute - He left the track early.
Possible opinion - He experienced back spasms.
Likely opinion - He is in some doubt.
Could have been a call of nature after a hot vindaloo last night. You can appear a bit proppy after one of those. As you state the only matter that seems a fact is he left the track early and for now everything else is up in the air

Track watchers (Official WOOF on X) have said "Definite limp when Bont headed over to the rehab area".Where has it been reported Bont is in the rehab group?

If you can question the certainty of his availability, that by it's very definition is "in doubt", which you can do because he left the track early, and was seen in the rehab area. Whether you believe the X account in question is up to you, but they area always providing accurate information on training.
That's not how "journalism" works![]()
I did say "journalism"As someone who studied Journalism in my younger years, I can guarantee you ethically that's how it's meant to work. I still have contact with some of my colleagues from back in the day and one of them is very strong in their opinion that they'd rather get it right 100% of the time, rather than chase scoops, form opinions that end up being accurate, but 10% of the time your info turns out to be false.
Oh, is that a fact?I have my doubts
The Pies game aswellWasn’t Bont crook all week leading up to the Dockers game and he took the piss? Doubt he misses, if he does you know it’s serious as the great man doesn’t miss games.
