That might be true if Berg was the preferred chop out ruck, but I don’t remember seeing him the centre once, and if he’s not doing that role then he’s not providing anything that Gollant can’t.
On the Sub, I think Pedlar needs consistent game time but I don’t like dropping debutants either, so I would wait one more week before swapping them.
I would say Cook for sub, but he needs consistent game time too. I would consider Harley for the sub.
I’m a huge fan of Jones and think he will make it but I’m starting to worry a bit, he needs to put more consistent performances on the board.Harsh on Jones. Wasn’t great on the weekend but took ownership of that defensive role last year. Can’t sack him on one bad game

No. When did this happen? I gave you an example on the weekend. The well documented shitting of pants dropping a home prelim. Find me one.So you haven’t seen him run back into packs? If not perhaps you’re not qualified to comment.
I don’t remember the specific game, but he ran back with the flight of the ball and was cleaned up big timeNo. When did this happen? I gave you an example on the weekend. The well documented shitting of pants dropping a home prelim. Find me one.

Nice info, thanks for sharing.
It does seem strange he only played a half of footy if he is needing to improve his fitness though ?
Surprised this thread got to 14 pages after post 1 said all there needed to be saidOut: McPherson (injured), Himmelberg
In: Sholl (from sub), Gollant
Pedlar sub I guess
How do you know they're elderly? Do they put their age in their posts. Might be 12 yo for all you know.

"In: Frampton"Out: Himmelberg / McPherson / Soligo
In: Frampton / Sholl / Pedlar.
Sorry I have to apologise, had a few beers and the person who was with me at the time corrected me today said he didnt mention fitness. I dont want to be spreading false information. Especially some one that would take the time to chat with me. Neither of us could quite remember the reason he gave, but imagine its to do with covid.
I think the after effects of covid are unknown. I just heard on the radio people suffering from something there calling "long covid". Having chronic fatigue similar to glandular fever after covid. I've had chronic fatigue from glandular fever and I was told not to train other wise I'd make it worse maybe they are building his loads up.

I like it if Laird's OK, but won't happen.Out: Himmelburg, McPherson (inj), Soligo, Jones
In: Gollant, Pedlar, Sholl, Laird
Haha thanks MaxAll good, don't let the truth or a few beers get in the way of a good story, it is only BF
I appreciated all your preseason reports this year, they were great to hear
No way that line up works, too tall down back. This is Collingwood this week so their forward set up will be something like this:Well, Sloane getting off and reports Laird will be fit are interesting.
Harsh on Jones, but with Dawson more suited to half back and a seemingly long line of half backs, Jones misses out for me.
Out: Himmelburg, McPherson (inj), Soligo, Jones
In: Gollant, Pedlar, Sholl, Laird
Brown ~ Butts ~ Doedee
Smith ~ Murray ~ Dawson
Sholl ~ Crouch ~ Schoenberg
O'Brien ~ Laird ~ Keays
Sloane ~ Thilthorpe ~ McHenry
Rachelle ~ Fogarty ~ Gollant
Pedlar ~ Milera ~ Hinge ~ Rowe
Sub: Jones
This is correct ....6 weeks now since tested neg after CoVid ....4 days a week feel great, then one day I'll wake up and feel sick & lethargic ...next day, wake up & fine againI think the after effects of covid are unknown. Himmelberg was bad .....moreso when we don't have the ball ....and he's simply not getting to enough contestsI'm done with Himmelberg, completely. He has to be dropped.
Himmelberg is as useful to the Crows AFL side as a trap-door in a rowing boat.
However, I'd play him every AFL game if that meant he kept Frampton out of the side.
(Did you watch the first 5 games of last season?)
Same here ....negating ruckman, who if he's not marking around the ground ...is a liabilityEveryone has there frustration with a player in our 22. Mine is ROB, I think part of our resurgence end of last year was Strachan. Our midfield performed better in my opinion and I think with a solid run of games he may find another level as he adjusts to afl. Want to see Strachan vs Grundy.
For this week, we should play both our ruckmen. It gives us cover for Cox and wears Grundy down better. Also, if resting forward, gives Darcy Moore a better challenge by having a stronger marking option than EH.Same here ....negating ruckman, who if he's not marking around the ground ...is a liability
ROB ....when on song, has repeat efforts, and tackles .....nothing resembling that on the weekend
Conversely, Strachan is the better tap ruckman, better kick ....and more flexible ....the only concern, can he play 80% on ball, as ROB does ?
I agree.I think the only change will be Sholl for MacPherson. Nicks will give Soligo another chance and he will want two big talls. So he will keep Himmelberg. I think Gollant is possibly too slight to count as a tall.
