We have never let a coach stay on for this long failing. I understand that this is the first time that we have done a complete re-build. At the time though they used the words re-generate the list. Weve basically wiped the list completely but Ogilvie and Reid have buggered things up. The last three years have been better. Rachele, Thilthorpe, Dawson, Rankine., Pedlar, Berry. But that 2019/2020 drafts will keep on haunting us. Sat on our hands while POrt traded up to get Rozee. We end up with JOnes and McHenry. Port get Rozee and Butters.

At home, freo, tigers and the blues we should be a good chance against as those teams nearly never play well against us at AO..

Freo only beat us last year in round one as, once again, we couldn’t convert and put them away. We usually beat the tigers and Blues at AO.. seems to be a bit of a graveyard oval for those two teams.

and showdowns are normally always a 50/50 regardless of the current form of both teams..

surely we at least win one game…

The last Showdown to me showed the current true disparity between Crows and Port teams. Port should smash us in R3. Even in the first Showdown last, the Power choked, Boak choked when he could have easily iced the game after the Rachele 50m penalty.

You will be fine I expect a few wins. If not, well it will be time for a new coach. I think that may be what is required anyway tbh. Time for someone to come in and be able to properly harness the talent that is there and talent to come in.

That’s ok… but they have started seasons well previously and then…

Just think. As awful as such wins are, it ramps up the pressure a little bit. Because by August if they are secure in the Top 8 etc, well you can’t have your coach unsigned for the following season (s). I think a new contract would be well in order at that time! Or before

After hearing Nicks it sounds like Sloane and Keays are playing midfield. One can only hope he was playing mind games or it will only be for a couple of cba's. He seems to be jumping at shadows now instead of holding the line, i guess thats the difference between a great coach and a novice. Only their midfield looks very good and are 3 years ahead of ours but we are catching up to them. Their forward line, back line and ruck are on their last leg and their development in these area have been shit compared to ours.
