Unless there’s players coming back from injury I can’t see any unforced changes.

Gallucci hanging by a thread - disappointing as he needed to make an impact with Milera and Seed in particular to come back.

He may get one more week but right now he’s making it easy for returning players to resume

What playing Eddie does is it takes out an opposition defender. No club would let Eddie run around uncontrolled. He still has value. I would love to see him fix his set shot kicking.
Eddie hasn't played that well all year except for 1 game and a few highlights. Let's start seeing the players who we may need later this year. Eddie needs a rest. No point grinding him into the ground.

Out: Gallucci, Knight
In: Jones, McHenry

Gibbs to earn his spot in the 2s.

EH comfortably ahead of JJ now. We are so much better having a guy that can bring the ball to the ground and gives us a chance to set up/lock it in.

Seeds shouldn’t be rushed back. He is too important. Managed time in the SANFL and then back the next week.
I agree with this. Himmelberg although his kicking needs work gets down and dirty and makes a contest each time. He has to stay in. I would also bring in the smash brothers Jones and mchenry to tackle the life out of neale and the other Brisbane prime movers to free up our onballers

Next year is looking a very long way away for Eddie. We’ve got better options in the 2’s right now. A very unpleasant call may need to be made quite soon if he can’t recapture some form.
And Eddie wouldn't be happy with his form either, he might make the call himself

Think most are due in 2 weeks with Sauce 2 after that.

Not throwing it up as a change, but what are peoples thoughts on Tex? Could be just me, but he seems out of sorts for someone who did a full preseason.

I think part of the issue is just how defensive the game has become. Everyone should go listen to Pykes press conference from yesterday as he's pretty much bang on the money about direction the game has gone and the rule changes. I thought Tex was solid last night, the work rate is there. Yep he's not hitting the score board as much though it was a high contest game, slippery conditions and at times he was the one taking some nice marks up the ground and setting up our goals. Reality is 100 point matches are less common then ever, sides aren't scoring juggernauts like we were in 2017 so the goals are going to dry up in terms of number. That being said no one told Jeremy Cameron this!

Pretty hard to make the call on Gooch/Knight -> Jones/Ned due to the role imo. Jones and Ned are better off running a wing or playing in the guts proper, rather than playing on the graveyard half forward line that so many of our rookies start in. Ned can play pressure forward but looks a different beast on ball.

Atkins would be the one you'd look at omitting if you really wanted to get a look at either Jones or Ned in their more natural position.

If Crouch is out, you'd assume Gibbs is an auto selection if fit, but I also wouldn't mind seeing one of Ned or Wilson given a go through the middle. Alternatively, play another forward like Davis or Stengle and give the mids that start forward a lot this year more mid time. Gives us another target up forward and bloods players thatto definitely need it.

Seeds and Douglas into SANFL this week. Jacobs back the week after with Milera. Only Milera straight in for mine. Makes a very strong SANFL side against Port this week

SANFl - In Seedsman, Douglas, Gibbs, MacPherson
Out - Johnson, Hutcheson Brown, Latchford

F Stengle Jenkins Strachan
HF Macadam Fogarty Wright
C McHenry Douglas Seedsman
HB Macpherson Otten Gibbs
B Hamil Butts Sholl
R Hunter Wilson Jones
Inter Boyle, Davis,Merret

AFL - Unchanged
Updated with Gibbs in Sanfl

Wilson deserves a call up for crouch if crouch is out.

stengle in for knight

Gibbs for mookay if Gibbs is good to go

I though gooch was better in the second half but... Jones or McHenry should replace him

Of course.. none of this will happen and it will probably be nothing more than Gibbs for mcrouch..
Im a mackay hater but he's been ok this year.

Hope so, MCrouch is a jet inside. Poholke can play inside? He was the last out so I'd argue to bring him in if MCrouch ends up missing. Leave Gibbs out, imo, not doing enough to deserve automatic selection.

If they decide to rest Matty Crouch and bring Myles Poholke in, I hope they do actually play in as an inside midfielder as he isn’t a half forward. Play him in his correct position or leave him in the seconds.

No games for you !

"Don, why are you doing here? Shouldn't you be coaching the AFL team?"

I'm not a hater, nor am I big fan but I occasionally defend him because I feel he's a bit unfairly hated on at times. It's actually nice to see people giving him a bit of respect as he's been pretty solid this year. Before he was selected early in the year I didn't want to see him in the side but at present he's doing whats needed to retain his spot. Seems to have hit the scoreboard a bit more regularly which is nice.

Harto was also our best player last week
Was probably our worst last night though. From his first touch I was like oh no its going to be one of them nights. Fortunately he wasn't near it too much. Still if he's freeing up Keath to do his job then he probably needs to stay nearly based on that alone.

Who was he playing on last night again? Marshall, Wastehoff? How did they go? Did his job IMO

Not many passengers last night but I'd love to see Jones back in for Galluci. Gooch is not quite right atm. Time to give Jones another go against a quick side in Brisbane.

Looking like a best 22 is the best outcome to me, certainly not the 1st rounder outcome you'd hope for.
Yeah getting the same feeling, Think Gooch will end up somewhere between Dmac and Dougie in the big picture. Could easily get to 200 games as a solid player but not outstanding.
