Lol pedlar omitted wtf?
Nank too? Why, how do Sloane, Murphy keep their spots in this team?
Well Murphy got coaches votes 2 games ago. Was horrid last week. Sloane should not be picked this week - surely we're not serious?

What's annoying with Pedlar is that we seemingly keep him out of the centre square at all costs, get blown to smithereens in the middle for periods of each game we lose, he goes cold at times on the half forward flank and out he goes.

If he'd actually spent proper time in the middle them Rachele and Rankine returning wouldn't squeeze him out

It shouldn't anyway. He's legitimately our highest ceiling potential mid. The risk to his long term development so far is a lack of experience because injury curtailed his exposure.

How on earth are we doing anything other than just pumping games into him now?

Just bizzare changes, Nankers clearly has something and has been really solid for weeks now.

Pedlar, we rest him, his first game back he kicks 2 goals as a small forward and now he's dropped again?

All the while we keep ****ing retaining people like Murphy and Sloane who just do not impact games at all. This has been a ****ing stinking week for the club really.

Very relieved that Hinge has come up. After watching the Brisbane game again, he could seriously lay claim to being our best player atm. Such a clutch player, reads the play very well, is courageous and obviously has a beautiful kick on him. Could be a smokey to finish top 3 in the B&F behind Dawson and Tex this year I reckon.

Selection, at is core, is in my view very simple.

Whilst there are things that can impact from week to week, you don't go much wrong by doing this:

1. Pick your elites first;

2. Pick your future elites second.

3. Fill in the rest.

Pedlar is the sub isn't he? Which in itself is strange given he was rested the previous week, would have given Murphy that role if he isn't dropped.

You could certainly ask the question what the development plan is here when Sloane can spend huge periods of time on ball and end the game with 13 disposals and 4 turnovers while Pedlar is stuck forward all day and gets 10 touches and 2 goals and ends up the one dropped, but that would imply there's a development plan in place anymore.

We are fully into "make the 8" territory here and just like the last few weeks where when the game is tight at the end and Schoenberg gets sent out of the middle and is replaced by Sloane, this is all about the continued belief that too much youth will lead to a loss and we simply cannot afford not to have guys like Sloane in the side, regardless of how he actually performs.

The odd thing there is we do have plenty of experience in the midfield, Dawson is C, Matt Crouch has been VC and captained the club for games, Smith, who is now on the wing is in the leadership group, experience in the midfield is not something we're struggling with right now.

I can stomach Nank going out. He has been solid but, outside of his debut, not lights out amazing (which is entirely fair enough in your first few games).

But Pedlar can be a damn game breaker and even though he will sub in, it still sends a shit message.

And just on Pedlar some more.

He had seven score involvements last week (as part of his 2 goals, one score assist).

Amongst comparable demographic players no one did better, and he consistently averages amongst the best there.
