While you hope they’re finally gonna be forced to bring Nankervis in I do hope they move Jones back to Milera’s vacated role in defence and play Nank higher up the ground, I’m a huge fan of what Nank is going to be but I still feel defence & having to mind an opponent is not the role for him.

Knowing this coaching group I fully expect them to force him to play in a back pocket on either Pickett or Fritsch and then wonder why ruining a young players confidence & taking away all his strengths didn’t work.

Also excited for Butts to barely get through training all week and come straight back into the team, then move around like an 80 year old with a hip & knee replacement throughout the game before inevitably limping off in the last quarter yet again.

I definitely want us to go with a more mobile forward line, it just about works when one of them is TT and tex is moving freely, but with Fogarty, Burgess and Tex barely able to move we are being horribly slow.

Im worried that we are wishful thinking re Dowling etc and come selection we wont get a debut and itll instead be recycling Hamill and Parnell. I could also be alone but i’d like to think if we rest Tex (prob wont for Gather Round) we should play Rash full forward with the simple instructions to get the ball and kick goals. He leads well, can mark, has shown he can set shot goal from 50 and gets the crowd involved and team mates pumped. Especially with Rankine hitting him up - would be a tough matchup.

We have done everything to screw up this kid from the first bounce of the year. Start as the sub, broken face... keep wheeling him out. Then instruct him to be a defensive forward on Stewart, and out mark talls on a slow break with high loopy kicks that doesn't give him a chance. His form is down, but he has no confidence right now, and it's no surprise why. He does need a rest in the SANFL to regain his confidence (as long as Godden doesn't * him up) but the way have played him this year is absolutely atrocious!

Wright will be coaching next sanfl match as Godden will be with the afl side at Marvel stadium the same day

I don’t really know how hard we tried, but we should have gone harder at Elijah Hollands. I mean maybe he only wanted to go to Carlton to play with his brother, but the fact the Blues got him for a third is daylight robbery.

Should have thrown $ and a better pick him and the suns.

We already have a stacked midfield and didn't have the list spot available.

I want a midfield of Rankine interchanging with Rachele. I want Laird playing off half back. I want Smith out, but wont happen. I want the whole team to move the ball through the middle, to hit packs with force, to actually stick a tackle. Basically I want a miracle. Demons by 42 points.

Rankine and Kozzie head to head in the midfield would be something to watch.

But on a serious note I was hoping to see the Crows make some big strides this year and at least finish ahead of Port. Maybe a Steven Rowe blowtorch might fire them up this week?
