Nicks labeling Dowling a good accumulator in his presser yesterday had me thinking they see him in the Crouch/Laird role only, which means it’s hard to see how he gets his opportunity tbh. I would happily bring him in for Sholl, but it unfortunately doesn’t look like our coaches see it that way.

I thought Nicks was taking into account that the questioner was only suggesting Dowling because he got most disposals last week. I didn't think he was saying Dowling is somewhere down the list, I simply thought he was saying the suggestion is too simplistic.

Why is Parnell a total write-off on this board now? He's 22 and has played 16 games. I don't see why it's impossible for him to have a good AFL career. Was good in the SANFL on the weekend.

edit: Just to be clear, I'd be disappointed if they selected Hamill but rewarding SANFL form for a young player seems fine to me.
