Murray and Thilthorpe’s injuries have hurt us

we will be a much better team with both players at either end of the ground

Murray, Keane, Maxy and Worrell is a really versatile core of your defence, they are all agile and can play on different types of forwards

Tex is keeping our forwards in a holding pattern, we are so Tex centric and my theory is that both Fog and Thilthorpe will rise quickly once they have more ownership of the forward line

I mean, they will be player of this new game plan so......

Curtin straight into Milera’s role. Tell the kid we’ll back him in to play his natural role. Just let him play.
Nankervis there ?

I want Curtin to play and I dont mind this but is that more Nanlervis role and Curtin one line back?

For whatever reason I get the feeling they'll be hesitant to debut anyone while they're losing and particularly not on a big Thursday night match up against Melbourne.

In fact they'll want to do the opposite and lean heavier on experience to turn the slump around.
Yeah it's the classic death spiral all failed coaches get into.

Who's fit.
Taylor, Curtin, Edwards, Cook, Hamill, Nank, Dowling, Himmelberg, Gallagher, Gollant, Strachan.
Whoever is ready get them in. Lets find some players.
Retire Sloane now along with Smith.

Eminently sensible changes

Out: McHenry, Murphy, Sholl, Smith, Milera, Laird, Jones, Keays, Borlase, O'Brien, Walker (managed)
In: Dowling, Edwards, Nankervis, Curtin, Ryan, Butts, Parnell, Cook, Taylor, Strachan, Gollant

This would make a side of

B Michalanney - Butts - Worrell
HB Ryan - Keane - Curtin

R Strachan - Dawson - Crouch
C Soligo - Rachele - Hinge

HF Pedlar - Fogarty - Rankine
F Cook - Gollant - Burgess

I Edwards - Taylor - Nankervis - Dowling
S Parnell

Nank to a wing. Soligo more inside. Jones out
Soligo was already playing inside this game.... until Jones was pushed back to cover Milera late in the game.

After the injuries I think we should go as follows:

Worrell - Borlase/Butts - Jones
Dawson - Keane - Michalanney
Scholl - Soligo - Nankervis
Dowling
- Fogarty - Rankine
Rachelle - Tex - Burgess

ROB - Crouch - Edwards

Hinge - Laird - Keays - Smith
Sub - McHenry

Out - Pedlar, Milera, Murphy
In - Nankervis, Dowling, Edwards

Unlucky:
Curtin - unless we move Hinge out I cannot see a spot for him, starting to play well
Ryan - could easily replace Keays or Smith, shift Hinge to a wing from defense
Bond - starting to play well, but still early.

Dawson to shift back to defense, playing horribly. Jones slides back to cover Milera. Nankervis to wing and Dowling to HF. Laird, Keays and Smith to the bench, wouldn't be opposed to sending Laird to SANFL as offering nothing

Nicks needs to go back up to the coaches box so he can see how bad we look live especially if he’s rolling out a new game plan and to keep the line coaches accountable for their areas in real time. Im assuming he’s currently relying on them to be his eyes which isnt working. Maybe it does look like skill errors from down there. Go back to basics and save the boundary coaching for when things are running by itself.

I am not seeing any plusses with Ned even as a sub. Pedlar has mor upside. Ryan looked good yesterday. Tex is not fit. Needs a good rest. Fog is lucky.

I wonder what Tex's fitness check involved. Picking up pay packet.

Firstly. I'd move Laird to back pocket.

Out: Milera, Smith, Pedlar, Jones, Sholl, McHenry, (Murphy)
In: Curtin, Nankervis, Dowling, Berry, Edwards, Ryan (Pedlar)

FB: Worrell ~ Borlase ~ Laird
HB: Michalanney ~ Keane ~ Hinge
C: Soligo ~ Crouch ~ Nankervis
R: Obrien ~ Dawson ~ Rachele
HF: Dowling ~ Walker ~ Keays
FF: Rankine ~ Fogarty ~ Burgess
B: Edwards ~ Berry ~ Ryan ~ Curtin
S: Pedlar

I like it - especially if he publicly says alot of our players are out of form

My Side time for changes
INS...............OUTS
Gollant...........Walker (inj managed)
Dowling..........Jones
Curtin.............Sholl
Nank..............Milera (inj)
Butts..............Murphy (inj)
B:::Max-----Butts------Worrell
H.B:Nank----Keane-----Hinge

I would exchange Max with Dawson at times to build Max up to become a MID

We dont need sensible. The club needs a rocket to bloody wake up.
Correct .....Smith and Pedlar have to be dropped .....making a min of 3 changes

Nankervis will come in ....maybe a chance for Ryan to debut

Too early IMO to bring Curtin in

Give Butts the arse. He's not AFL standard.
Which is why we need Petty .....Petty & Murray, along with Mark Keane .....Butts if you want a "break glass" player

Dawson needs to be surrounded by guys who are dangerous in their own right.

This puts pressure on coaches to try and defend multiple threats, which always creates holes.

Laird is definitely out and yes I recognise that crouch has been better, but neither are dangerous in their own right. Crouch could rotate through as part of the second team of midfielders surrounded by the right players.

Our combinations are just not working.
