Despite that, the impact on the game was similar because Banfield doesn’t impact the game outside being the last link in a chain for goal.I swear half this board must be sturts mum.
He had six possessions for the game. Didn’t kick a goal. Banfield had 16. Yeah he made an error that’s because he was in the play. Unlike Sturt. I don’t think Sturt actually touched the ball in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
The arm chop was there but it shouldn't have been enough to stop the mark. He had most of it and the arm chop was quite soft.Chol’s arm was literally still wrapped around Banfields even after they separated. Should’ve been a free, Banfield should’ve been stronger, and wouldn’t have fallen for the candy. But the arm chop was still there
6 possessions in a whole game where we kicked 100 points. I guess his team mates didn’t think he was in the “right spots”.Did you not see him deliver that kick i50 to Amiss?
Did you not see him consistently running into the right spots, presenting, creating space in the FWD line for Amiss, running down the wing ect? Did you not see him actually lead at the ball carrier in that last play?
If you didn't maybe watch the game again. It's his first AFL game in 2 years due to multiple injuries and getting his body right and you're saying he doesn't have it, just moronic and lacking a basic understanding of what football IQ looks like.
Not a great game.6 possessions in a whole game where we kicked 100 points. I guess his team mates didn’t think he was in the “right spots”.
This was last few minutes of the game. Most players were out on their feet. LolWhat was unforgivable was his obvious hearing of footsteps thus not positioning his body to protect the ball drop. Hardly an arm chop - or a free kick.
He then got baulked by a 6 and a half footer
Nah.I’d like to see Treacy playing in a side without Tabs
He seems agile and speedy enough to me. I'd drop JOM and bring in TreacyNah.
We suit an agile tall target fwd line with speed imo.
Just not agile enough.

We obviously see him differently
Our gameplay doesn’t suit lumbering fwds.
He’s too slow for AFL footy. Struggles to get from contest to contest. His weapon was his kicking which has gone down the tubes.Either JOM or Banners
Wouldn’t mind seeing Sturt in Swittas role and Corbett or Erasmus (who ever performs) in Sturts role.Keep a winning team. Only Brodie for Switta if there are no forced changes.
Ras to be the sub.
I like the forward line of Jackson as CHF and Amiss as FF with Sturt, Freddy, Walters, Shooter and Banfield nipping at their heels
C Cameron had 14 disposals against the Pies and kicked?6 possessions in a whole game where we kicked 100 points. I guess his team mates didn’t think he was in the “right spots”.
He’s not slow, he runs sub 3 seconds in the 20m. As per my initial post, I think he’s suffered from having to play with Tabs. So I’d like to see how he goes without tabs in the sideHe’s too slow for AFL footy. Struggles to get from contest to contest. His weapon was his kicking which has gone down the tubes.
Don’t you feel like the fwd line went well last night? He’s not slow, he runs sub 3 seconds in the 20m. As per my initial post, I think he’s suffered from having to play with Tabs. So I’d like to see how he goes without tabs in the side
Did it ever occur to you that the reason Amiss was taking more marks on the lead and in more 1 on 1 contests was Sturt was leading to a different spot? Rather than old Tabs getting in the way?6 possessions in a whole game where we kicked 100 points. I guess his team mates didn’t think he was in the “right spots”.
I think we made the most of our chances against a less fit and less accurate side. If Amiss is injured then who do we go to? I think we need to get the Treacy and Amiss double act gelling as soon as possibleDon’t you feel like the fwd line went well last night?
Did it have a freo oval type vibe
He certainly stopped some of their run out of defence.Did it ever occur to you that the reason Amiss was taking more marks on the lead and in more 1 on 1 contests was Sturt was leading to a different spot? Rather than old Tabs getting in the way?
One of the most important functions of forwards is to actually spread out to positions where they won't get the ball.
Fritsch averaged under 10 possessions over 2021-22. It's not a position that lends itself to high possession numbers. Sturt still needs to get a little bit more involved, but he doesn't need to do too much more. You can't expect him to knock it out of the park in his first senior game in years.
no. Thought your post was actually serious, you garnered quite the dislikes! Can't accuse us of not being passionate You have to be careful with stuff like this cos we're all sensitive little boys (and girls) and we've all been calling for Sturt for weeks. can't believe he hadn't played since 2021!! He was far from the 'shining light', but I never expected him to be. He did, however, do enough and I hope he gets a run...as said before me, if Henry gets a run of 4, I can't see why Sturt doesn't. If he's given time, I think he'll add more than notLooks like nobody picked up on the sarcasm
