That's fair. Its a big challenge for teams to pull him away from the action but still remaining useful
I think the main thing is honouring them on the lead inside 50 rather than bombing it, but that's not the Essendon way

Am I the only one not wanting someone with multiple ACL injuries doing any rucking at all?
Rucks tend to do their PCL which is mostly an impact injury i.e. knee on knee contact rather than their ACL. Happens a lot in car accidents from knees hitting the dashboard

Id just personally prefer to keep him out of rucking and leave that to Oscar and probably Bel if he comes in.

We'd probably want Oscar to do almost all the centre square ruck contests where the biggest risk for knee injuries are for rucks. Around the ground isn't such a big deal especially compared to trying to take big pack marks.

I got the email yesterday around 4pm, they went on sale today at Midday for both games.

Panic over. The email went to spam, that hasn't happened before so I hadn't thought to check. Have 13 tickets across both games - go the ALF hub.

So glad you posted or I'd still be oblivious - thanks

As a bonus through booking.com picked up a Sea World room for Friday night - 4 people breakfast and Saturday entry to Seaworld for $204. Absolute bargain.

Edit: didn't need to use the password so might be sitting in the middle of opposition supporters. Just glad to be going.

Rich - minor hamstring strain, likely to miss 1-2 games. Lester had a minor hamstring as well - likely to miss friday but might play Tuesday. Archie has syndesmosis and is in a walking boot for a few weeks, out for 4-6 weeks.

CEY available for selection.

So I'd be expecting a minimum 4 changes. Witherden, Payne, Ballenden and Skinner would make sense, or if we don't need another key defender swapping answerth for Payne. I'd expect we'd try get CEY back in soon but 5 changes might be a bit much.

Well this is going to have us Bigfooty coaches pleased.
The choices are wide and plenty
I will throw my weird but possible selections soon.
Have to have more than a 5 minute think about this weeks changes 🙃

Honestly, that seems like a big risk. Smith seems like the right match up for McCluggage; he'll hurt us more and he'll keep some physical pressure on.

Word in fantasy football circles is that Smith is managing an injury which is hampering him, so that might be part of it too.

Will be interesting to see if we minimize the amount of debutants/inexperienced/young players.

With McStay, Rich, Lester and Archie we're losing a lot of experience.

Might bring in Bundy to play Bailey's role and switch him back for Lester.

Witherden for Rich

Skinner for McStay

Ballenden for Archie

CEY for TBerry

holy moly. two solid heads in the defense gone and Birchall a near certainty to be rested too. Andrews will be holding it together  Also feel for Archie. I had a feeling he could have grown into the season a lot more if he had that extended run..

I hope CEY comes in and is really solid, liked his work he was doing before he went out

well we've talked about those in the wings getting a shot to prove their worth, lets get to it and I hope all of them put their best foot forward and really provide a bit impact :D exciting time ahead

Now that we have confirmation across the board on injuries / suspensions, my changes are:

Out - McStay (suspended), Rich, Lester, Smith (all injured), T. Berry (omitted)

In - Ballenden, Witherden, Cox, Ellis-Yolman, Christensen
