Surely we want a KPF to be competent with set shots in front of goal, as well as compete(which McStay does), but I don't mind getting a look at Ballenden or Skinner. Will be good for either of them to get some experience, for this strange season

Reminds me of Kerevi’s red card in the World Cup. Tackler had nfi what was going on and tried to tackle him standing up - no idea about proper or safe tackle tech and got knocked out. Kerevi punished for the tacklers poor technique or lack thereof.

A very dangerous precedent set if a player leads with the head and the tackler gets hit with a suspension like this when contact is almost impossible to avoid. A great way to encourage the victim to keep leading with their head. The apportionment of fault never seems to be a factor in these decisions. “Yes officer, I did go through the intersection at speed without due caution, but he ran into me, so he is 100% at fault.”

There are definitely players in this comp that will exploit that little bit of knowledge. Then the ruling will last until Dangerfield, Dusty or some other “superstar” is in McStay’s position and might miss a big game, then it will quietly be ignored.

The right decision would have been a fine for McStay at most and a warning to Jetta about the danger of doing what he did three times in the same game.

I think it's something like $10k if you lose. Might be off target though. It's significant enough that you wouldn't want to risk losing that kind of money if you're not confident of the outcome.

If we go by the extended bench for the demons game Ballenden looks next off the rack, lets hope he has a good one

Skinner was emergency the previous three weeks and travelled to the Sydney hub. Skinner is the like for like replacement for McStay.

I know Dan has not kicked many goals, but His presence is going to be missed. Eric really needs to turn his form around. He had some very average chases last night with zero effort.

They'd probably be thinking about going with a really small forwardline. But it's not like we're particularly tall back there.

If I was the club I would appeal the high impact. The impact itself was mostly created by Jetta running into him. They should be able to get it down to low impact at the least.

Jetta lifts and then ducks his head again before taking contact. If he’d continued upright it would’ve been a bump to the shoulder. How King can say Jetta shouldn’t be coached out of that is an appalling analysis

Big chance for whoever gets a game in place of McStay. Based on the emergency lists recently Ballenden seems like next off the rank, but plenty here advocating for Skinner. Question for reserves watchers, who's been playing his lead up to the wing role in the two's?
