Josh Draper to debut? The West has this sub-headline from training this morning.

"Cheers for Fremantle Dockers young gun Josh Draper ahead of potential debut against Brisbane Lions"

Wilson should play ahead of him on last weeks perfomnce.also Worner has had a consistant start to the season that would warrant a go

Ryan or Wagner out?

I'd love to see them try Brandon Walker in Freddy's position seeing as he's out. He's probably the next quickest bloke in the team and I think he's got good core strength and tackles well, which is what you want in a small forward.

I agree. I think he is too nervous at the moment down back. Confidence shattered in the Pies final and still struggling.

He is a decent size too at 186cm. Can compete in the air.

Put Walker forward and if he shows something, then maybe look at a Luke Teal for example as a lockdown small defender in the MSD (yes, I know we need forwards/mids, but putting that aside and looking at the issues with Wilson/Walker/Wagner).

Don't think walker is good tackler at all. Seems to be afraid to tackle. When he is tackled he just buries the head and lies on it

From another site, it appears Chapman has done either a calf or hammy late in the training session.
Also watched On the couch last night, Lyon was very firm in his assertion that Brayshaw is carrying an injury.

Wouldn't mind trying Luke Ryan on a wing. Can win the ball and gets him away from kickins. Decent in contests in space.

Major question mark on fitness for it though.
When the team is shit, it's natural for posters to want to throw the magnets around and wanting to try some crazy moves, and it's fair to say there's been no shortage of this on here over the last few weeks.

This however, is going too far. I can't think of a single reason why Ryan would be good as a winger...not one.

I reckon he'd still sneak down to take a few kick outs. He can't help himself.

Jesus.
He’s been getting a few soft tissue injuries.

Half forward or on the wing where he can take the game on and not be severely punished for losing possession or holding the ball. He wants to play on instinct, just so cutthroat doing so deep in defence

Unless the captain has been putting his hand up to play all season carrying an injury and needs a break.
I reckon a break would do him good. He's getting crushed every which way. It would be good for him sitting in the box, watching the game from a different perspective and listening to the input from other players, eg Fyfe. It could help his development as captain and heal his ails.

Defenders don’t need to rack up possessions
I watched the game and would agree with this from The West

Josh Draper: Wasn’t his day. He conceded a couple of marks against the Bulldogs small forwards and didn’t have a huge impact.

Oh yeah I watched him too and he wasn’t great. I just like new blood it’s fun.

Wagner out who is 26 to Draper who is now 19.
JOM, 29, for Erasmus, 19.

Big differences

Interesting side fact, Draper is only two months younger than Erasmus - taken the draft the year before. Erasmus is the bottom of bottom agers.
