Out - Lynch, Nicoski, Embley

In - Brown or Notte, Stevenson, Smith

Dont know if they will risk Shuey or Houlihan yet. We need pace. The only thing wrong with the team today was the midfield. Just needs those 2 or 3 quicker players.

OUT: Nicoski, Lynch, Embley
IN: Stevenson, Brown/Notte, Glass (if fit)

wouldnt mind seeing stevens or neates or smith - someone WITH PACE PLEASE!!

EDIT - oh yes, would love to see houlihan and shuey in, if fit!

OUT: Nicoski, Embley & McGinnity

IN: Dalziell, Houlihan & Shuey.

How can we ever select Nicoski again

Houlihan's had one WAFL reserves game this season. Shuey hasn't played at any level since early April.

Out: Naitanui (rest), Wilkes, Embley, Nicoski

In: Glass, Stevenson, Brown, Stevens/Smith.

Wilkes unlucky, hasn't done anything wrong but we don't need him, Glass, Schofield and MacKenzie.

Naita could use a rest and Lynch could use the chance to get up the ground and into the game.

Stevenson back in is a no-brainer, not sure why he missed this week.

And give a young kid a debut, line him up against Ablett at the first centre bounce and let him see a master at work. It worked alright for Gysberts yesterday

OUT Lynch (how many chances doe's he get )
Embley ( CHUMP )
Mckenzie ( always fumbling)
Nicoski ( nearly as big of a CHUMP as Embley)
IN Brown Dalziel Stephenson Stevens

In: Stevenson, Glass (if fit), Brown,
Out: Wilkes, Lynch, Embley

Every week I'm agreeing more with rdub about Smith. The guy has got pace and good skills and he takes the game on. I hope he gets games in the second half of the season.

I would like to see Houlihan back too but he'll probs come through the WAFL.

Out: Wilkes, Lynch, Nicoski
In: Brown, Stevenson, Glass

if glass is not fit, then wilkes stays in.

personally i dont think we can have lynch and bmac in the same team, the defensive pressure is really lacking.

embley is in shocking form at the moment, i'd make him a permanent forward. his field kicking has fallen away badly, let him be the receiver of the ball inside 50.

I would imagine that the 3 outs MUST be Lynch Embley and Nicoski.
Offered nothing all 3.

Ins: Brown/Notte, Stevenson, Smith/Stevens/Shuey(whichever is fittest out of the lot)

Match-ups...

...Ah, stuff it. We'll pick the same team we always do: an abundance of talls and turnover merchants.

Ablett for 200 in DT.

This week may not be the week to make these changes because we will lack experience but it needs to be done. I think a lot of supporters will wear the pain if we start blooding kids. The senior players have had their chances to step up and they havn't.

OUT: Embley, Lynch, Swift (I like swift but HAS to learn awareness)
IN: Stevenson, Stevens, Smith

21 disposals 7 kicks 14 handballs 9 marks 4 tackles 3 I50 0.1
Stevens needs to be getting a game

B: Wilkes, Mckenzie, Butler
HB: Smith, Schofield, Hurn
C: Rosa, Mcginnity (TAG) ,stevenson
R: Cox, Ebert, Priddis
HF: Sheppard, Kennedy, Stevens
F: Waters, Mckinley, Lecras
Int: Naitanui, Nicoski, A.Selwood, S.Selwood

I reckon we keep losing games with our selction. The work rate is deffinatly there from most of the boys but we have to many of the same one paced players and that's not their fault. We need to inject speed and start blooding the kids which we should already be doing.

If Woosha dosn't start do something about our lack of speed after being so easily exposed by Carlton then he has to go.

Wonder how long it'll take Bomber to get bored and hungry during the game. I'll go with half way through the first quarter.

Out: Lynch, Embley, Nico
In: Brown, Stevenson, Smith

IN: Glass, Stevenson
Out: Wilkes, Embley

If Shuey is fit then Nicoski out for Shuey.

Id also consider giving Naita a rest, playing Cox as one ruckman and bringing in Stevens or Smith. Also toyed with the idea of keeping Wilkes in and dropping McKenzie.

OUT: Embley | Nicoski | Lynch | Wilkes
IN: Stevenson | Hams | Notte | Glass (if fit)

If fit, Shuey in for a plodding midfielder.

Anyone putting up Shuey for an in really has no clue.

He's not match fit.

He's been injury prone.

But you know lets throw him up against one of the most physical teams in the competition on the biggest ground in the AFL.

Out: Nicoski, Embley, Lynch

In: Stevenson, Brown, Smith

On notice: A Selwood, S. Selwood, Mcginnity, Priddis

Once Masten, Kerr, Shuey and Houlihan are back in there will be real pressure on midfield spots and these average players will not get a game.

Don't think Priddis should be in that list. Surround him with some of the other players you mentioned then you will see his benefits. Gets his hands on the ball first - such an underrated assist.

I've been a vocal critic of McGinnity and Priddis but they were both far from our worst today. McGinnity burrowed in and did a lot of the hard things and at least tried and his disposal was passable for once today. Priddis goes in and wins the hard ball, problem is he's got no one to handball too as he's surrounded by slow spuds most of the time. If he had the likes of a Judd, Dal Santo (ie midfielder who can play outside and finish with good skills) he'd get a lot more recognition for his work.

Scooter has had a great year to date playing as a tagger and has had some good scalps already this year like Hill and did a great job shutting down Montagna last week after he got on top of McGinnity early. The job on Judd was always going to be tough for anyone and it's just a bit beyond him at this stage but I do like him as our tagger going forward.

Adam Selwood, well he's going to be on borrowed time as the kids come through and his continued inability to hit targets gets put under the microscope more. His brother will in time usurp him as number one tagger as well.

Yep agree. Priddis is one of the most maligned players in the league by other supporters as well as our own yet for no real reason. He's no Judd but he's not supposed to be. 1# clearance player in the AFL going off the commentators today. 3# in contested posessions and tackles.

I have and continue to be a huge critic of the guy. But he was pretty good today in a fairly rubbish effort. The thing is, he's #1 because opposition teams across the league are ok with the guy getting loads of it. Because his disposal is invariably poor. I suspect that's not just him and not just the people around him, but a bit of both.

The worrying thing is what Commetti was saying today - that you can see the endeavour, and that it's not desire that is the problem. It's the skills and the talent at hand that is.
