I don't think this is a case of anti-Crows bias. 20 players have been suspended for "dangerous tackles" so far this season, including a couple of others from the round just gone for very similar tackles. The problem is the AFL who are shit scared of the concussion litigation and are overreacting as well as Christian's incompetency.

It's been reported on CH9 there's a chance we will be challenging as Neale clearly had an arm free, the AFL's argument will be how did Laird know this given the split second then our argument will be Laird felt his arm around Neale's stomach while taking seconds to take him to ground so it wasn't a split second.

I said last year that blokes would be suspended for doing next to nothing soon, using this clause. A lot of people said I was overreacting.

Keays probably gets a good amount of midfield minutes again with Laird out. Would like to see Soligo, Peds and Jones get more mid minutes, too. Hinge getting more wing minutes

No bias. Thought he was gone based on replay. May be worth a challenge of medium down to low level impact but the action was there. Always likely to get a game.

Take away the ridiculous first week and the MRO has started to find consistency - even if no one likes the result

The senior players love him. Clearly he's pretty popular. Even Seedsman was chipping in with pro-Crouch comments the other day. There'll be a push from within to bring Crouch in.

The coaches know it's the wrong move. Bring in Hinge and crank up the midfield time for Pedlar, Rachele and Soligo.

The coaches have to decide whether to go for team harmony (among the seniors anyway) or whether to do the right thing by the team.

I actually have faith the coaches won't pick him.

Just doing the bolded without "replacing" Laird would be woefully inadequate against the GC midfield. As I said above, we need an accumulator/extractor and someone to sit on Rowell. I won't champion any accumulator/extractor, but I assume Keays will run with Rowell.

All we need is him admit it to get Laird off.

But he won’t, because who wants to be known as someone playing for free kicks.
