No he didn't. The season is shot and so is Mitchell's career. He has a history of smashing it at SANFL level and then coming up to AFL level and not being up to standard. I don't care if he had 100 touches.

I don't think we should be picking fights about who was selected despite limitation if they are in form. We don't have that luxury. I think first, we need to worry about the drastically out of form selection roundabouts.

Mitchell is one of the better, logical inclusions.

I hate these selections so much, going back for the past 4 years this game is probably the game I am least looking forward to going too.

Ken is too loyal to his best 18 and treats his fringe/young players like absolute shit. I tell you what if Ah Chee is sub I am going to be ropeable

This is very true! I have said this before, the way the fringe and young players are being treated is not good enough. They can't play with any confidence when they know 1 mediocre game and they are out. HAVE SOME FAITH KEN!

If we are picking our best AFL side, which tall replaces Lobbe? Because none of them are in our best AFL side right now.

Either of Butcher or Harvey would be better selection than O'Shea, Mitchell, S.Gray or Jonas on form/potential/whatever you like

Dying to know the changes all day. Just get phone connection and what a f**king letdown. I'm sorry but the selection panel and coaches have absolutely screwed it. Lobbe the only decent out. In's absolutely terrible. Mitchell and Jonas, come on. Perfect opportunity to give some of these young guys a taste of afl and we have rewarded shitnesd. God I love this club but far out, way to stretch the relationship.

IN
Monfries - ok
Krak, - ok
Mitchell, - deserved selection
Ah Chee - ok
Jonas - NNNOOO

OUT
Lobbe, yep
Moore, poor game last week but needs games
Young, unlucky
Clurey, very unlucky - needs games
Hoon ok

Monfries, Krak, AhChee I'm happy with.

But how the actual **** can you drop Lobbe and not player another tall?
Harvey or Frampton would have been an ideal replacement for Lobbe.

There is so much wrong with these selections, Mitchell,S Gray,Neade,O'Shea all in the same team makes me vomit

**** me Ken..

So they have Cameron, Patton, McCarthy & resting ruck and we drop our only competent defender last week.

I can normally see the sense in the weekly changes. I got nothing with this.

The worst selection omission weve ever done

Can someone explain to me what Clurey was sent back to the SANFL to work on? Wasn't his kicking. Wasn't his defending, wasn't his running ability, wasn't his one percenters.

Predictable really. I'm bloody disappointed and it takes tonnes to disappoint me. Would have loved to see at least one of the boys play that haven't played this year. I'm not an AFL coach so I'll stfu. Ken still playing for pride and wins???

I love selection night........

Don't get Clurey being dropped, thought he was going well enough.
Lobbe, not surprised, probably should have happened sooner
Disappointed no talls are being debuted, interesting that Butcher is an emergency, maybe one of the short people might be a late change.
Monfries did the right thing in the SANFL - only guy I can recall this year that was dropped and actually performed to get recalled.
As much as people hate it - Mitchell earns another shot.
Krak obviously just needed to get over his hamstring and Ah Chee is an upgrade on Moore and/or Young.

Jonas....I don't get it.....

He turned up to training without exposed sleeve tatts or skinny jeans. Plus, he has a very normal haircut.
They've sent him off to get a man bun and some spacers.

Why drop Clurey. Why?

Dixon is a lock. You beauty
Ken will play him at FF for the Magpies. When he doesn't kick six goals a game (and they must be from contested marks, with the kick from a tight angle 45 out - as we all know from Butcher last year only certain goals count) that will be justification for him not playing AFL.

Example of how we treat out kids

>Hoon plays pretty well against St Kilda, thought he had a couple bad moments but used the ball very well as a whole
>Gets put as sub the round after and doesn't do well (not many players do well off the sub)
>Dropped

If i was Hoon I'd would be saying seeya and going somewhere else.

Another example

>Ah Chee comes on as sub and plays well in the middle of the ground winning clearances
>Gets played on the flank and doesn't play well (out of position)
>Dropped

You watch him end up as sub or out of position again this week.

Ken has too much pride to not select players he recruits or appoints in positions of leadership (until they burn him so bad he has no choice).

If we aren't giving any of our young KPF a look in this week, presumably because Ken doesn't rate any of them, I would like to think that Dixon is heading our way.
