Is this midfield not the centre bounces? Isn't that where we'd want Laird tagging him? I do, however, agree that we may have the advantage up forward - if it's relatively fine and not too wet underfoot - otherwise it may work to their advantage.
What I mean is that I think we shouldn't have a tagging player like Kerridge or Laird in at centre bounces, it means we rely to heavily on the other two mids to win the clearance. Rather I think we should back our mids + Sauce to win it. I would have Laird follow Mitchell in general play as a midfielder, just not at centre clearances. Of course there's a part of me that would like to see how Laird would go at centre clearances, I just wouldn't trial it in such a crucial game.

Yes hopefully it's not too wet, as that won't work in our favour!

Porps into the side for Mackay.....guess they figure he's a strong bodied player who can handle the wet conditions....

From listening to Sando's Press Conference I reckon Truck and Thompson will also be out so Luke Thompson and Matt Crouch should be late changes on Friday night....

I was at the game, worst piece of umpiring I've seen in my life, almost surpasses that game against St. Kilda at Etihad about 5 years ago or so.
What's even bewildering is that towards the end of the game we got a questionable decision, I think it was a 50m penalty and the Hawks fans behind me complained like they'd just lost the game, I turned around to them and said Are you kidding yourselves? Are you ******* kidding me?
You've had a free ride all game! They didn't reply because they knew how easy they'd had it.

That's the second comment today saying the Hawthorn fans knew the umpiring was shocking. I was siting directly behind the goals (up in the stand) that we were kicking to in the last quarter and none of the Hawks supporters knew what I was upset about.
