Yeah, your on the money with that one mate. Its very frustrating need Darling or Sinclair to put a nice bump on Lake or Gibson.

I would like to see Sinkers put someone into next week - legally. He has been doing everything else the past few weeks; only has that to do now, and he will become an immortal.

Jamie Bennell has a good record against the hawks Cyril Rioli.

So I would strongly consider him against the hawks.

Butler if brought back better not be used on Cyril, Cyril will kill him with his agility.

Use Butler on Bruest instead.

Still would like to see Newman for Hill.

Wish we could rest Kennedy.

Masten may be in trouble this week.

If it is wet then Bennell would be a good swap for Hill even if he played HFF, can keep his feet and has skills / crumb a goal in the wet.:thumbsu:

In: Lamb, McGovern
Out: Kennedy (rest), Hutchings
Keep Barrass in since Gov may not be 100% (and in case he goes down again). No viable mid option to replace Hutchings. Lamb obviously in for JK if he is too sore...

This is where Darling needs to step up...he should still be relatively fresh, his season is only 6-7 weeks old.

In regards to JK being sore, is it the elbow starting to play up?
Gibson on Darling... not going to be a fun night for Jack

Does Gibson ever match up directly on anyone?
Not sure...either way, I can't see Darling having a big game against Hawthorn. Hopefully we rest JK after the Freo game. I actually think Lamb in for Hill might be a decent idea.

Between Frawley, Lake, Stratton and Gibson the Hawks should be able to cover us up forward pretty comfortably.

I mean, if Kennedy can't kick a bag on Dane Rampe or the GC I can't see him doing much this week.

Tom Lamb has to be in for hill. We have to stretch their tall backs. Butler in for hutchings. Scooter is a waste as a sub.

It'd be interesting to see the stats from the sides that have beaten Hawthorn in recent times, to find out the spread of goalscorers in opposition sides in those matches.

It's hard to workout how Richmond's forwardline competed against Hawthorn's strong defence, but Deledio had a big influence.

Maybe in the games where Hawthorn have lost, it's been similar types of players doing the damage on the scoreboard?

The only thing to make a case for Hill staying in the side this week is the expected wet weather. Marking the ball in wet conditions is going to be difficult. Hill can crumb, where as Lamb is not so adept. WC need to focus on selecting players with ground level ability, for the wet weather will make for a very scrappy and congested game, not a fast and free-flowing contest. Hill is capable of picking the ball off the deck at pace and can finish. Wet weather games are where opportunists can make their mark on a low scoring game - Hill fits the bill in this regard.

Anyone else woried about how bad we've become infront of the goals compared to early on, we were #1 for accuracy a while back.
Doesn't seem to be as bad at home. Much worse away in the last month or so. Don't know if this is factual, or I am imagining it! Just the way it seems to me.

We are at home for the next three weeks, let's do this.

Edit: since the bye 37.28 at home, 38.56 away!
