TBH I know he's injury prone, which alone was enough for me to suggest he's a no go. I didn't check his age when it was suggested. Is this the same Sam Naismith who is 30 years old, has played 24 AFL games, and in the period of 2018-2022 played 2 games?
Do you think it's the shin splints which have helped contribute to this? Still worth picking up with a later ND pick or a pass?
If passing, would you be looking to draft Barnett aggressively? Or just pick up a project like Knobel in the RD?
* I know quality talls are available next year but we've surely go to get another Ruck on our list list year.

Adelaide traded out of the 2nd round and got norths F2 so they could get their F/S Max Michalanney with later picks .I’d rather get first choice on McKenzie Clark etc
Now Sydney might like Humphrey at 8 and offer 14 and 17 for 8 and Ports future R3. I’m now listening depending on who they want and who is left
12 14 17 20 and 26 is tempting - especially if we get
12 Phillipou
14 Hewett
17 Hotton
20 Barnett
26 Smith or Clarke
30 and had 3 knee reco in the same kneeWhat about we rookie Naismith.
What about we rookie Naismith.
Yeah I guess. I was just wondering if Ginbey, Hewett was a great pairing for WA. Did they have a good balance of skills that we’d like to see working together at the Eagles? It can also be hard to compare between WA and Vic sides. Ginbey might look like a better player because there’s less depth and he gets more opportunity in the WA side. It would be awesome to see a Vic vs All stars (non-Vic states) game in the u18 champs.

Mackenzie projects as the more damaging midfielder to me.If Clark is available at 8 it shouldn’t even be a second thought I hope geelong get the Bus and we get Clark

Further proof that the Pieman gives away very little in who we will take. Busslinger and Ginbey would have been leaked by other clubs are are obviousEast Perth products Reuben Ginbey and Jedd Busslinger are firming to be first-round selections after being among the dozen invited to the opening night of this year’s AFL draft later this month.
The pair were reportedly sent invites to head to Melbourne for the event on November 28 alongside the likes of Brisbane father-son prospect Will Ashcroft and No.1 chance Aaron Cadman.
Ginbey is considered the best of the WA crop, with several clubs including West Coast and Gold Coast interested after a breakout season as a big-bodied midfielder.
Busslinger has long been touted as a top talent in this year’s pool, but the key defender’s season was cut short because of a shoulder injury.
Elijah Tsatas, Bailey Humphrey, Mattaes Phillipou, Cameron Mackenzie, Ollie Hollands and Jhye Clark were also reported to have been invited.

Swan Districts midfielder Elijah Hewett and Claremont son-of-a-gun Ed Allan are considered the other West Australian talent that could also be taken in the first two dozen picks, but it is not known if either were invited.
Allan was almost a Hawthorn father-son prospect, with his father Ben falling two games short of the 100 to qualify.
The Eagles hold one of the strongest draft hands this year, with four picks inside the top 30 in eight, 12, 20 and 26.
Fremantle does not have a pick until 30 at the moment after trading away this year’s first-round pick (13) and as well as next year’s and a future second-round pick for Melbourne ruckman Luke Jackson.
The second round of the national draft will be held on Tuesday, November 29 before the pre-season and rookie drafts are held online the following day.
Still Not known yet if Hewett got an invite.

Jones in the handful of games I've seen him play doesn't really project as a small forward.Who is the better small forward- Munkara, Darcy Jones or Brandon Leary?

IMHO, Darcy Jones. He has everything needed, has pace, insane agility, and can stream goalwards from the centre with his midfield minutes.
I get a sense that they are dialling back on the number of kids invited to draft night to avoid a repeat of the Johnson/Robertson disappointments/embarassments. So only first round locks get a gig.
