Pretty much. A few I can think of:

Schache #2 traded for #25 & #40
O'rourke #2 traded for #19

Jaidyn Stephenson #6 traded for #26
Setterfield #5 traded for #27 & #43

About the only trade where its com out pretty even is
Cerra #5 traded for #6

If we have a player whose homesick and doesn't put their best foot forward then we will almost certainly lose out.
Can probably add Jackson under Cerra soon!

And plays as a half forward.

Are clubs going to trade two 1sts for a homesick half forward after 2 years?

To get that he would need to have polled top 5 in our B&F and kicked 40 goals in his 2nd year. And even then it wouldn't happen.

Just to be clear, he goes to Mt Scopus. Not a noted breeder of future Australian leaders.

It is a Jewish college. Year 12 fee $39,000 per student.

You go to a school that expensive parents pay that more about their child building friendships and future networks with the student group and the other parents than the education.

I don't care who we draft, as long as they end up the best player in the draft.

I also reserve the right to complain very very loudly if we don't draft Phillipou and he ends up the best as he's my personal favorite. If he ends up a bust you'll never hear me mention that I liked him.

Split 2 and aim get Phillapou and Clark.

Phillapou is potentially the best player in the draft and the next Bontempelli. Likely there around 6-9

Clark is as close to bust proof there is in the draft.

If you miss out on one or both then McKenzie + Hewitt are there as backups, or Busslinger.

Still don't understand why The Poo is tipped to go so low.

Apparently shallow draft and ""the next Bont" is tipped to go outside the top 5?

Meanwhile a "half forward flanker and you don't build teams around them" is a strong chance to go at pick one.

It boggles the mind.

I've come a full circle and think we should just trade down and get Hewett. Or at least trade one of our other picks UP to get him.

Bloke has got some serious power/X factor, and one of the few players, if any that played seniors basically all year and didn't wet his pants dominating kid leagues.

Where would Hewitt go? top 10? doubt he'll drop to 20

Trade one pick to move up?

No one has spoken of the Dogs much.
Assuming there pick 29 goes to Freo for Lobb.
There picks would suit a few of the WA boys. They would have pick 11 and 15(Lions pick for Dunkley).
11 for Hewitt 15 for Ginbey.
A player I like a lot Hollands might be around there to.
Don’t know if it’s right pick 2 for 11 and 15.
GWS will have 12,18 and 21

Guess we will know more towards the back end of trade week

GWS also has pick 19. Ex Norths.

So 3, 12, 18, 19 and 21.

IMO If we trade 2 we need to get min one top 10 pick back plus others.

Future 1st for Bowes and 7?

On SM-S908E using BigFooty.com mobile app

Nope.

I want the Bowes idea to work more than most, if not for the pick than the fact Bowes is a quality young player himself..

But our pick next year will most certainly be at the top end of a very strong draft. Likely 1-5. Could get a generational talent with that selection.

Don't think we need to be ponying that up. Future 2nd I'd do. They're the ones who want him and his salary gone.

Guys what if PA get a first round pick for Amon? Which means it would be pick 9. I would be trading Rioli, pick 20, 26 for that.

Presumably because it's all based on potential, and potential has a habit of not being reached very often.

Or it's just a Bigfooty beat up that he's the next Bont.

Phillipou is not rated as highly as Sheezel mostly because he does not have as much exposed form against high level competition (only 1 quarter against vic metro and 1 full game against a lowly allies side). Sheezel has much more exposed form (similar to other players ahead of Phillipou) against high level competition and is largely considered the best 1 touch player in the draft. You might say half forward flankers are common but one touch players like Sheezel are very rare. Phillipou has displayed 1 touch ability too but it has came against mostly lower competition and as the levels go up its harder to remain 1 touch with the added pressure.

Sheezel is also one of the best kicks in the draft and has a good side step and mark. He also doesnt seem to be lazy like a lot of small forwards and his high work rate may allow him to push up the field. Phillipou is a bit of a darling on these boards as people obsess over tall mids quite a bit, they are the flavour of the month, again this is not to downgrade phillipou's abilities but more to add perspective into why he is rated higher on these forums than outside. Club fans drool over the prospect of the next Dangerfield, bont and Martyn and Phillipou fits their dimensions physically but whether he can match even half their ability remains to be seen and so Phillipou is more of an unproven commodity than the top 5/6.

Im not sure about Hewett at pick 11, do you think its a bit high for him. Maybe more 15-20 for Hewett, I see him sliding a bit, I think his consistency in the champs let him down. Still like him but dont want to pay too much based on form line tapering off quite badly in champs. His best was very good though.

Would we trade multiple second rounders to get up to 10-15 to snag Hewett? Or even 15-20 if he really slides?

More likley to be end of first round, so 19 before any father/son and academy bids come in

I would love to have a Rachele or Wingard over a Callan Ward battler

I really wouldn't want us trading up for Hewitt or Ginbey. Just have one of them act like massive campaigners at their combine interview.

Who was your favourite player growing up? Adam Cerra

Which players have you most modelled your game around? Adam Cerra

How would you get a fox, chicken and sack of grain across a river? I'd strangle the fox and chicken to death and cart their lifeless bodies across together.

How would you feel about moving interstate?
