Whereas MOST kids from other states see moving to Melbourne or elsewhere as part of the journey
I actually had some insight here, as a coach and with my nephew, we had kids we thought would go far so we essentially got them with the thought of you will be leaving WA and you kind of have to accept it because the games the game

I hope we are willing to take a rusk on Munkara should he slip to one of our later picks, boom or bust shot, however the boom far outweighs the bust

What would it take to give up our first next year? Let’s say a gold
Coast said you can have pick 5 (from Adelaide) and pick 25 would we do it? Or gws offered two picks say 10 and 15 (just random picks based on them trading Taranto, green, hill etc)

Isn't next year THE superdraft or all superdrafts?
A bit like the old pub sign "Free beer tomorrow".

A few on the draft board seem to like Gruzewski & any of the Claremont watchers have views on Ed Allen? Both risen a bit in Twomey's Top 30
Ed had a really good back end of the season after injury

He looked like a decent winger and then he kept growing

I have him as a R3 but that’s because I don’t know where he plays

Given the anticipated quality of next years draft and our guesstimated bottom 4 finish it’d need to be 2 top 10 picks

It would need to be 2 picks inside 10

If Harley Reid was available this year I’d think West Coast would be taking him at pick 2 and he’s only going to stand out more next year you would think.

I have no issue with Cadman as a prospect as he has a very good all round game.

Here are the issues.
- on a set shot his routine is fine but he drops the ball from outside the boot meaning unless the timing is perfect the shot is 50/50. His stats dont look horrible however he also had 12 ootf, multiple rushed behinds and miskicks that didnt go the distance.
He is also historically not great at getting ball to boot under pressure and for accuracy of field kicks.

If his kicking was sound in this draft he would be worth pick 2 in this draft. He wouldn't be in the first 4 tall forwards / forward rucks in next years draft. I would prefer to go small this year with top 20 picks and the look at talls in the second round onwards this year as i see value there. Next year if we can somehow manage two top 10 picks we are looking at a generational ruck and a key forward if we dont finish last.

If we finish last Harley Reid is looking like a true generational prospect and there is still no guarantee he is the best pick next year.

Have you done a Jeremy Cameron as a U18 comparison ??
Was he a little wayward as well because he`s AFL goal kicking is acceptable but far from perfect ??

I’d be open to trading our future 1st, there is quality in this draft at the top end. A swap for 5 and 25 would be good.

2 Wadlaw/Cadman
5 Tsatas/Clarke/Hunphreys

Maybe Trade a combination of 25,26,27,40 to get a teens pick

13 Hewett/Hollands/Ginbey

I'm so on the Cadman train, North can take Wardlaw. I'm telling you guys, Cadman is the perfect pairing with Allen. We have just lost Kennedy, Cadman is a Cameron clone.

I would seriously look at helping Freo to unlock the Jackson trade.

Get them to offer just pick 2 for Jackson

In return for 2 and a future R3, we get 13 this year plus future R1 and the future Norf R2 priority pick they get for Logue

Port look like they are prepared to drop back so make it Rioli plus 20 and 38 for 8. I’d start with 26 and 38 but accept 20 and 38

8 13 26 this year
2 x R1 and 2 R2 in 2023

Gets Freo’s salary cap full for next 3 years when English is a FA

I`m liking at Pick 27 or 38 Jaxon Binns as a hard running Michael Braun type..
