Lots of water to go under the bridge with what picks we end up with, but if we hit the draft with pick 2 I think I genuinely prefer Cadman.

I want a mid more than most, but there's just too many question marks and I'd hate to reach for someone.

Is the question mark over Wardlaw as much as we’re worrying? He was kept in cotton wool at the end for the purposes of his long term gain - not because he was still injured.

No risk of him not being drafted, you know?

Also, can someone please fill me in on where the Pie Man moniker came from?

If the Dogs ended up with 7 from Lions for bowes deal. Leaves them with 7&11 which about the sweet spot for those that wish to trade down.
Would then need the dogs to really want something at the top.

The big one is whether he can be a factor as an inside midfielder at the next level

Also whether his kicking will improve on the run

Tsatas or Sheezel for me. But who knows. Wardlaw and Ashcroft look off the board given JHF moving to Port Adelaide and Brisbane will match on Ashcroft.

I’d do Rioli and 38 for Georgiades but I’m not giving up one of our 2nds along with Rioli for him

Sliding down 6 spots for a bang average tweener forward who would not compliment Oscar at all is horrible imo

Georgiades is not that good

Sheezel/Cadman/Tsatsas seem most likely then. My guess would be Cadman.

I don’t see it - they lose an A grade mid, makes sense to replace it

Depends on what he thinks their biggest need is. I don't think it's so black and white.

JHF also played forward a fair bit, they need class down by there too so Sheezle could be a goer too

If I was the Eagles list manager, I would be holding on to your pick 2 until GWS has their trades with Richmond and Geelong done.

Trade Rioli to Port for 27.

GWS should really want that pick 2 to get Cadman.

At a minimum, you should be able to get pick 3 and 18 from GWS. (or a future first tied to Richmond)

Then you trade pick 3 to Port for 8 and Georgiades.

Then you can trade picks 26, 27 and 39 to Brisbane for pick 15.


You end up with picks 8, 15, 18, 20 and Georgiades.
