If I was the Eagles list manager, I would be holding on to your pick 2 until GWS has their trades with Richmond and Geelong done.

Trade Rioli to Port for 27.

GWS should really want that pick 2 to get Cadman.

At a minimum, you should be able to get pick 3 and 18 from GWS. (or a future first tied to Richmond)

Then you trade pick 3 to Port for 8 and Georgiades.

Then you can trade picks 26, 27 and 39 to Brisbane for pick 15.

You end up with picks 8, 15, 18, 20 and Georgiades.

I’d rather just keep 3 or try to split then slide down 5 spots and Georgiades be the prize. I’m not big on him at all

We should be able to trade the 3 picks to Brisbane without the other trades anyway.

Effectively you are saying Georgiades is worth a downgrade from 2 to 8 and pick 18…? If i have understood that right then that is crapola for WCE

If there's another player you could reasonably expect to get from Port, that has some value, you're more than welcome to swap him in for Georgiades.

But yes, if West Coast is looking to split pick 2, that's about the best deal I can come up for you. Maybe North could offer you a deal for pick 2, once they have pick 8 from Port. But I don't see it being better.

As for the Brisbane trade, of course it's a seperate trade. I was just tying all things up nice and neat, and presenting what your potential draft hand might look like.

Broadbent, who is no certainty to get picked up in the national and rookie drafts in late November but has spoken with several clubs including West Coast, believes being in an AFL system will be a massive benefit after two-hour commutes to train and play WAFL.

“To go from two hours to training and play to around 20 minutes or maybe less will be a massive benefit for me,” he said.

“The travel really drains you mentally and it’s been a big challenge for a kid of my age so I think I could really benefit from being in that full-time AFL environment and being able to live nearby.”

He will get one more chance to impress AFL recruiters at the WA draft combine on October 16, alongside 11 other West Aussies.

“You’ve got to be in confident going in, so I’ll keep training for that for the next couple of weeks so hopefully I’ll do a decent 2km time trial which is important to show for a big bloke,” Broadbent said.

Is the question mark over Wardlaw as much as we’re worrying? He was kept in cotton wool at the end for the purposes of his long term gain - not because he was still injured.

No risk of him not being drafted, you know?

Also, can someone please fill me in on where the Pie Man moniker came from?
Frequently seen in either photo's, videos or live streams in the vicinity of plates loaded with, or that have remnants of, pies.

I like Wce 2 + 20 for GWS pick 3 + 12

If the Dogs ended up with 7 from Lions for bowes deal. Leaves them with 7&11 which about the sweet spot for those that wish to trade down.
Would then need the dogs to really want something at the top.

Dogs want Barrass apparently..🤣

A lot to playout yet, but can you see another team who will be able to put together a better offer than GWS, of 3 + 18 for 2?
Pick 18 is hefty price to move up from 3 to 2. Do you think GWS would do the trade? I'd gladly say yes to it from WCE perspective.

GWS need Cadman, I could see them doing that. They’d want to manage their cap carefully, don’t see them wanting to bring in 4 draftees in the top 25

Trade Rioli and 39 for Georgiades

Trade 20 and 26 to Brisbane for pick 15

North take Wardlaw

GWS give us 3 and 19 so they can take Sheezel or Cadman

Essendon give us 4 and 22 so they can take Cadman or Sheezel

We take one of MacKenzie, Phillipou or Clarke at 4

Still have 15,19,22

Walk away with Georgiades and 4 picks inside the top 22 with only Rioli walking out the door and all our future picks intact

Hey Eagles fans, sorry to intrude. I’m really fascinated by your clubs first selection in the draft, I feel Wardlaw seems likely to go pick 1 by North Melbourne.
I feel Tsatas, Sheezel and Cadman are all of need in your list. Is their a player that stands out in your selection, im seeing Tsatas mentioned in mock drafts as your selection. Is that the way you guys feel it will be on draft night.

I personally would pick Cadman and Sheezel over him, just have more faith in them as prospects to succeed at Afl level. Is that the way you guys also see it? You guys also don’t seem to have retention issues, which probably speaks volumes on the culture you guys have up their in Western Australia.

Very little love for Tsatas around here

Sheezel is recognised as a great talent but concerns are that he might be a flight risk

Begrudgingly accepting Cadman as our best option with pick 2 given our midfield weaknesses

Plenty of discussion around whether given the above we’d be better splitting pick 2 if a good offer comes for it

Apparently Hawks and Essendon are into Sheezel. Has been mentioned that you'll both try and jump the other. WC apparently open to offers. GWS like Cadman.

I saw Bazzo and Chesser at the WAFL GF yesterday. Chesser is a very solid lad, he reminds me of Leigh Matthews for some reason.
I saw Rotham on the eastern bank at the WAFL GF - gee he has a really well kept beard.

I've been told to be positive about Josh
