I dont know too much about u18 players other than reading the information from footy websites and applied a bit of "common sense" to discuss. At ~198CM you don't need to be top 10 in vertical jump. You already have a massive standing reach advantage over those short people who are top 10. Just need to have a decent vertical, doesn't need to be crazy (Nic Nat was a freak in that he was ~200cm with a crazy vert)
Pretty sure he made AA.How did he compete in the U18 nationals?
Same principle stands, the taller you are your vert tends to top out at good, rather than great. Only the real freaks couple height with a great vert. It doesn't ultimately matter as long as they reach the good level though.I dont know too much about u18 players other than reading the information from footy websites and applied a bit of "common sense" to discuss.
1. I am not sure Cadman is 198cm or 194cm
( Ref: Inside top prospect Aaron Cadman’s transformation… and why it has AFL clubs lining up to land him )
2. Even he is198cm, he is not competing with the short defenders as a key forward. He will be looked after by tall defenders.
3. Most of the available videos show that his strength is moving around, mark on the lead (not so much on contested mark against opponent) A bit like our Waterman.
I think we still need an inside mid. I’m not sure Culley is the boy, yes he tackles well but I’m not sure getting in first and winning it is his strength.Jones or Keeler at pick 20 for mine.
I really feel it'll have to be Jones as he looks like he'd be a super important pickup given his athletic profile and football smarts.
Rioli is gone, Legdon is trash and Petrucelle is a fraud. We have no small/high half forwards on our list other than that. Alarm bells.
Hope the big SA boy can slide to 26 after.
Dream?
8 - Ginbey/McKenzie
12 - Hewett
20 - Jones
26 - Keeler
Describe bolter? By large the media and by extension public only really hear the same names throughout the year. One for the draft historians?
How have the draft bolters faired from the last 5 or so drafts that were picked top 10?
At least there is a sign the club sees the need to turn the list over as quick as they can.I’m very content with the draft hand don’t know why everyone is up in arms. Better chance of getting at least one gun and the ability to bring more youth in while our aged guns are still available to guide them
Which would be interesting. Most phantoms have them taking Hollands, for family reasons. But if Hollands slides past GC, I bet he's still there at 12 and maybe even 20.Gold Coast are an interesting one. They could very well go Busslinger.
Unless Warlord comes out and looks like a genuine star.We won't be able to judge the deal until after next year at least.

12 maybe but I highly doubt he makes it to 20. If he does slip past GC then I would love for us to nab himWhich would be interesting. Most phantoms have them taking Hollands, for family reasons. But if Hollands slides past GC, I bet he's still there at 12 and maybe even 20.
IMO North or GWS would've taken CadmanHe wouldn't have made it to us - North don't give pick 1 to GWS if they planned to take Cadman so Wardlaw was probably their pick.
Could be our 1st Reuben!Bit concerning he doesn’t know the name of the player he bases his game on, or maybe he likes a bit of Jamie cripps and Jack crisp
